The protection of the McCanns by José António Saraiva

The blog received a comment from our reader Strawberry Vodka, posting a link to an article which went unnoticed, was ridiculed or disregarded and although we haven’t expanded on it we believe it to be of the utmost importance.

This was the comment on our post “Rua Segura - April 9/10/11 2019 ”:

We’ll start by simply putting up the first words of this article:

“'Kate McCann was MI5 spy': Portuguese newspaper makes crazy allegation that missing Madeleine's mother was member of security services

- Kate, 51, branded a 'spy' by veteran Portuguese reporter in wild unfounded claim - Journalist Jose Antonio Saraiva made the claim in weekly national newspaper Sol - Also wrongly identifies Gerry McCann as being a school-friend of former Prime Minister Gordon Brown

By Gerard Couzens and Tracey Kandohla For Mailonline

Published: 09:20 BST, 28 April 2019 | Updated: 18:47 BST, 28 April 2019”

Right up front we can see the names of 2 journalists known for their transparency and endless efforts to reveal the truth about what happened to Maddie, Gerard Couzens and Tracey Kandohla. Yes, we are joking.

Gerard Couzens then also signs an article on this in the Sun, again the first words:

MADDIE MISERY
Fury as Madeleine McCann’s mum faces ‘ridiculous’ claim she was MI5 spy when daughter vanished

The claims are made by a Portuguese newspaper editor in the run-up to the 12th anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance

29th April 2019, 9:30 am | Updated: 29th April 2019, 11:17 am

MADELEINE McCann’s mum Kate has been accused of being a secret MI5 agent when her daughter went missing, sparking fury from the family.

The ridiculous slur in the run-up to the 12th anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance on May 3 is not the first time Kate, 51, has been accused of being in the UK’s secret service.”

The first reaction to those who are familiar with the case and are serious in finding out what happened to Maddie was to say that Mr Amaral never claimed that Kate was MI5, he has only said that MI5 is involved (and does anyone doubt that MI6 – so often called MI5 by mistake – was and is involved?) and ask who is this… H. Santos, this Portuguese woman? Did she really say this or was she misquoted?

We don’t know who she is and apparently, she did tell the editor of Sol, José António Saraiva that Kate McCann was a MI5 operative.

To say that Kate McCann is MI5 (we will stick with the wrong designation because it is the intelligence service that has been repeatedly mentioned) is an absurdity.

But is the article as absurd as it appears to be, or as the British media tried to make it?

We don’t think it is. We don’t think it’s absurd at all, the article that is. On the contrary, we would even say and intend to explain.

We won’t blame the social media for not realising its importance because one has to read the original to understand it and it is written in Portuguese. Our translation:

“LIVE TO TELL – April 22 2019

Maddie: the mystery remains

It is very strange the effort that the girl's mother has put in the abduction thesis, saying that she saw the shutters of the room open and the curtain move away with the wind…

José António Saraiva

The MADDIE CASE returned to the spotlight with the release by WikiLeaks of a PJ report on the disappearance of Maddie McCann, which virtually ruled out the abduction thesis.

Curiously, two weeks earlier, a lady, a medical geneticist by profession - H. Santos - whom I did not know, had contacted me about this subject. According to her, the abduction hypothesis was also not plausible. It could only happen for two reasons: either to sell the child for adoption, or to rape her.

Well, if they were to sell her, they would have abducted one of the twins (or even the two), still babies, not a girl who already knew how to speak and would always be harder to hide. And if they were to rape her, the parents (even because they were doctors) would know that she would already be dead, because child raping invariably end up that way: either they die during the sex act or are killed afterwards.

AS SUCH, H. Santos thought that the motive of the crime would be a different one. Simply put, it would have to do with the British secret services, the MI5. The disappearance of the girl would be related with the secret activity of the parents. One of the couple's members, possibly Maddie's mother, would have belonged to the MI5.

That would explain the immediate arrival in Portugal of a representative of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and future Prime Minister Gordon Brown. It was said that Brown did it because he was Gerry's schoolmate. But this explanation doesn’t stick: the English are very formal and the friendly-friendship which characterize the Latins does not rule over there. A minister does not send an official representative to find out about the disappearance of a girl for having been with her father in school ...

BUT THERE ARE strange facts. At the time, phrases such as "The spokeswoman for the McCanns, who works for the British Foreign Office," or that the McCanns had "surprising political connections, showing themselves after all to be a very special middle-class couple with a strange power of influence in the lands of Her Majesty Elizabeth II,” were written.

That connection to the intelligence service would also explain the immense effort that the British have engaged in this case - and which is not over yet. Because, if the motive was political, the girl may still be alive. And her recovery may be important.

THERE ARE MEANWHILE weak points in this thesis, such as the cadaver scent found at various points in the apartment and in the car. And the dog that detected it was tested 200 times and never made a mistake.

On the other hand, it is very strange the effort that the girl's mother has put in the abduction thesis, saying that she saw the shutters of the room open and the curtain move away with the wind. If she saw this, which alone would educe abduction, how does the PJ almost rule out this hypothesis? The conclusion to draw is that they don’t believe in Kate.

Another strange fact is the girl's father having said that he left the restaurant to go to the apartment’s bathroom, and - instead of choosing the shortest way - went by the longest route. Now this is incomprehensible. On the one hand, he could have urinated in the restaurant’s WC. On the other hand, in conditions of need, he would choose the fastest route.

And how to interpret the fact that the other friends of the group did not go immediately to the apartments to see if the children were there? After an abduction, it would have been the natural reaction... And why did everyone - parents and friends - refuse the reconstitution?

THERE IS ANOTHER incriminating fact against the parents: the mother having spent the rest of the night seeing if the twin children were breathing. Now, if Maddie had been abducted, it wouldn’t have anything to do with a respiratory problem. The question would only arise if the girl had died of suffocation.

And this was probably what happened. Maddie maybe died perhaps a result of a sedative to sleep. The father discovered the body and, in a panic, hid it – to afterwards, make it disappear. This would explain the fact that he had said that he had chosen the longest way to go to the apartment to urinate: it was the way to justify the delay.

Maybe the mother didn’t even know – or knows - the whole story. The husband may have given her some explanation - and asked to speak later of the open window and the abduction, to mislead the police.

THIS DOES NOT mean that the thesis of the secret services can’t have some truth to it. The arrival of the Gordon Brown’s representative, the immediate travel of the British ambassador to the Algarve, the money that the United Kingdom continues to spend on this case - all this makes one think.

What mystery lies behind the disappearance of Maddie McCann?”

As can be seen, José António Saraiva does not say that Kate is MI5. He is very clear that it is someone else’s opinion.

We will deal specifically with this but for now we would like to ask this, if when before something that one is absolutely baffled by and ventures an absurdity to enhance that same bafflement, is one validating the absurdity or highlighting that one is indeed baffled? The answer seems obvious.

Let’s use the Maddie case to exemplify. If, because one is absolutely baffled with the secrecy surrounding the Maddie case, one was to say “it’s like Maddie was some sort of rogue experiment from Area 51, that ended up in Luz…”, would one be speaking literally, thus suggesting that Maddie came from Area 51 or would one just be ironic to highlighting how absurd that secrecy is?

From the article above, it seems that H. Santos is speaking literally and José António Saraiva is appears to be speaking ironically. Maybe not as we will see.

But before we get to the content of the article, let’s first look at its author and the newspaper in which it appeared.

Let’s start with the newspaper. The Sol comes only second to Expresso in prestige in Portugal. It’s not tabloid news.

In terms of general or non-specialised news, we would say that if were to speak about daily papers, Público and Diário de Notícias hold the most prestige. Correio da Manhã, has the highest sales but it relies on its tabloid style.

If we are to speak of weekly newspapers, Expresso and Sol hold the highest prestige. Weekly magazines, that would be Sábado and Visão.

In Portugal and again in terms of prestige, the weekly news is seen as being much more serious, and the weekly publications hold much more weight than daily ones. Reason is simple to understand, they present a much more matured and worked product.

To buy and to be seen reading a weekly newspaper, Expresso or Sol in an esplanade on Saturday is a status affirmation. Usually, when one buys one, one buys the other. It’s a way of showing off one’s high cultural and educational standings and standards.

As explained, this article was not published just in some paper. It was in the Sol, very respected and with lots of prestige. It would be the equivalent having been published in the Times in the UK, the New York Times or Washington Post in the US.

Not exactly the paper to promote conspiracy theories, much less crazy ones.

Then, it’s not exactly an article but an op-ed. It is written by its editor, or in Portugal, its director. Do add the weight of this to the importance the article has.

To be the director of such a prestigious paper, one evidently has to have value, be respected and have prestige. And be very self-conscious about one’s reputation and credibility. So, one in such a position decides to put in an editorial that someone has alleged that Kate was MI5, one knows that one is not ridiculing oneself.

José António Saraiva is an entity in Portugal, it needs nothing else to be said about him as all the educated people in Portugal know who he is.

But he does have some prestigious and respected family ties to someone who is in the heart of everyone Portuguese, he’s the nephew of José Hermano Saraiva.

José Hermano Saraiva, who has passed away, was (and still is) to Portugal what Richard Attenborough is to the UK. He used to have a TV program dedicated to telling the stories of History and was very, very dear to the Portuguese.

So, without reading a single word from the article, just the fact that it was published in the Sol and that it was written by António José Saraiva, its editor, makes it rank in seriousness and importance that it deserves a very attentive reading.

In fact, we would say that in terms of authorship, this is the highest the Maddie case has ever been published in Portugal. Above this, we’re only seeing someone from the government or the presidency writing about it and we’re not seeing that to ever happen.

The importance of the paper and that of the author in Portugal, we imagine, will have caught our British readers by surprise. We imagine that many are now scrolling up and reading the article again with this perspective that they were not aware of.

Summing up, without even looking at the content, this article is written by a heavyweight author and published in a heavyweight newspaper, so by all accounts and measures it couldn’t be more heavyweight than it is.

Now let’s look at the content.

See how precise and damning it is. And how understandable it is in its inaccuracies. No, Gerry did not go to the apartment to urinate (although he did say he did do that while there), so the argument that he could have used the toilets of the restaurant falls to the ground.

What doesn’t fall to the ground and remains unexplained is the why he went the long way around and José António Saraiva points out that absurdity.

He says in the article that the abduction thesis is ridiculous, he speaks of Gordon Brown’s immediate and strange commitment. He speaks of the strange level of protection the couple got and the strange level of influence the couple had. And of the ambassador’s rapid appearance on the scene. The McCanns really had to be “a very special middle-class couple”.

He also speaks of the “cadaver scent found at various points in the apartment and in the car” and the accuracy of the dogs, of the shutters and curtain whooshing to push the abduction thesis, which he clearly says was very much pushed by the parents and states the fact that the PJ didn’t buy into such an absurd theory and that clearly means they didn’t believe the McCanns, mentions how the parents and friends refused to do the reconstruction and the fact that Kate spent all night checking if the twins were breathing.

We would say a lot of detail pretty much all damning stuff to the McCanns. And do note that it’s not then “netflixed”. It’s not, this happened… but. There are no buts. They are facts and they are undeniably facts that are damning to the McCanns.

Understand why the article was immediately ridiculed? Why the British media tried to laugh it off?

Certainly there are inaccuracies. For example, he raises the possibility of Maddie having died from over-sedation. As our readers know, we fully agree that the twins were sedated, as we believe all other T9 children were. We agree that there was sedation.

Where what he says that is inaccurate, where we disagree with José António Saraiva and other genuine sedation theorists is that we don’t believe Maddie was ever sedated, and so we don’t believe she died because of an accident related to sedation. We say that said sedation happened but only after Maddie’s death.

But we accept that sedation is to those who are not familiar with the details of the case and don’t realise the full scope of the hoax, a conclusion they may reach, so in no way is José António Saraiva less credible for believing in it.

There is one apparent inaccuracy which we cannot state as fact that it is indeed so. José António Saraiva speaks of a representative from Gordon Brown. We are not aware of such a person having been present.

However, José António Saraiva moves in the high circles of society where the common citizen isn’t allowed. He may have been aware of such a person, a person who was not reported on and known only to those higher up on the Portuguese establishment and peers, its elites. For that reason, we will not state that this is incorrect, we simply don’t know.

And could he be referring to Clarence Mitchell, as he worked for the government as media monitor? But saying that Mitchell was Gordon Brown’s representative seems to be quite excessive, in our opinion. Only José António Saraiva knows who he referred to.

Moving now towards the MI5 issue, José António Saraiva states something that is absurd and that is that Gordon Brown and Gerry McCann were schoolmates. Note, he doesn’t state that it was so, he says it was said – we don’t recollect ever having read such a thing.

He uses this absurdity to ridicule Gordon Brown’s commitment to the case. Even if they had been schoolmates – impossible due to the age difference, Brown was born in 1951, Gerry was born in 1968, Brown was at Edinburgh Uni and Gerry at Glasgow – he says that it couldn’t possibly justify such a dedicated and personal engagement.

Note, and that is what is important to retain, he states a fact – Gordon Brown’s strange involvement – and ridicules a (im)possible justification, them having possibly been schoolmates, for that fact to have happened, which it did.

By doing that the author leaves unanswered the question he raised: why did Gordon Brown engage decisively? They weren’t schoolmates and even if they were the idea is preposterous, so why was it so? That question, unanswered , is left hanging in the air.

An unanswered question put by the editor of one of the most prestigious newspaper in Portugal to its readers.

It’s with another unanswered question that, in our opinion, the MI5 allegation is made.

How something apparently absurd, the MI5 allegation becomes, because of something else that is much more absurd, the context which is not an absurdity.

Underlying the MI5 allegation in the article is a fact that baffles us all: the protection the McCanns have had all these years.

And that is the question José António Saraiva raises with the MI5 allegation. For something that is so inexplicable, there can only be an explanation that apparently will seem absurd at first glance.

The protection is enormous, monstrous, visible to all and that is factual.

It’s absurd they enjoy such protection and yet they do.

So why? Why does the entire UK establishment have this middle-class couple in particular under its wing?

That is the exact question that the editor of one of the most prestigious newspapers in Portugal asks with this article.

Because such level of protection can only come about if state interests are at stake. That is the only reasonable explanation, there’s no other possible reason, is there?

Taking into account that such huge and palpable protection does exist, and as we said is factual, easy to confirm, then is it so preposterous to consider the idea, completely absurd under any other circumstances, that the couple is linked to UK’s intelligence service?

Under this perspective, José António Saraiva’s article stops being ridiculous. Something has to justify the protection... but what? It must be something strange, it must be something big, it must be something right out of a... spy movie!

And here the irony is that José António Saraiva may not even be speaking ironically, he may be speaking literally. He may really be venturing as real the possibility that Kate may be MI5.

Why would he do that? Why would a serious journalist venture into apparent absurdity? Before one laughs it off, maybe one should give it a thought.

Kate being MI5 is straight out of a movie plot, no question about that. But hasn’t realism long abandoned the Maddie case? With all its evident and transparent lies shoved unceremoniously down the world’s throat shown itself to be something beyond reality even though it’s very real?

Something has to justify the absolutely abnormal protection the couple enjoy and logic dictates that the reasons must be as abnormal.

So, even if wrong it is reasonable to deduce from the obvious fact that the twins were sedated that Maddie perished from over-sedation, it is perfectly reasonable when faced with the inexplicable self-evident protection of such proportions and magnitude that the couple has, to deduce that the reason for that to happen must involve state secrets, or in other terms right out of a movie plot.

The British have turned Maddie’s death into a film, sick, absurd with very bad casting and very poor scripting, but a film nonetheless. Reality turned into sick fiction. Is it then unreasonable to take as reasonable something that one would never do unless in this particular case?

José António Saraiva faced with what he sees, ventures that H. Santos may not be that wrong, she may have a point. So much evidence against the couple, so much evidence being ignored, so much complicity by the British media and government, is it unrealistic to think that?

And here resides the irony. The more this MI5 allegation is laughed off the more out of this world is the protection the McCanns have.

Is  José António Saraiva being ridiculous by considering the possibility that Kate is MI5? Then that is only so because the Maddie case has been made absurdly ridiculous before everyone’s eyes.

Example of this? The British media ridiculing the allegation and highlighting the inaccuracy of Gordon Brown and Gerry McCann having been schoolmates while ignoring all the damning facts damning for the McCanns that José António Saraiva wrote in the same article. Could there have been a better example of the existence of that same protection that he speaks of? We would say not.

José António Saraiva says there is protection and the British media show that it is so.

Having someone as José António Saraiva to even consider that possibility as real and then feel comfortable to express it publicly is the price to the UK has to pay for lying so blatantly about the case. In other words, the price for protecting so shamelessly who appears to have no reason at all to be protected so overtly, thus inviting speculations as to why.

Ridiculousness and the Maddie case are joined at the hip. The protection is a clear sign of this.

These are the two questions that José António Saraiva leaves hanging unanswered:

Question #1 – Why was Gordon Brown so committed to this case (and why is the UK still committed to it)?

Those disagreeing with the schoolmate idea, have to explain why this was so, because it was so. The blog has shown the idea is ridiculous but has extensively explained why Gordon Brown committed himself the way he did.

A lot of people on that holiday were high profile in their professions. If their reputations were exposed - brother John McCann spoke of “calling in favours” - then sectors of the UK establishment had a lot to lose.

We believe that there were also some high profile people in Portugal who attended social events, of a public kind, in Luz and who could also be called on to pull strings, which they did.

Question #2 - Why is the McCann couple protected by the UK?

Those ridiculing the MI5 idea – and in our opinion it should be – have to explain why this protection was so, because it was and is so. The blog ridicules the idea and but has extensively explained why the couple is being protected.

In no way, in our opinion, was an emotionally volatile doctor a member of British intelligence services but we believe in Mr Amaral when he says that British intelligence met Martin Grime at the airport.

In her book, Kate says they were escorted home from the UK airport by Special Branch. Why did they even need an ordinary police escort, let alone SB? And if someone requires SB protection then it is ludicrous to think that British intelligence services were not involved. Of course they were. And are.

José António Saraiva is absolutely right. And both questions are pertinent.

Add to these 2 questions all the damning and accurate details mentioned by José António Saraiva in his article.

Do keep in mind who is the target readership for this article. It is not the people who read the Daily Mail or the Sun. It’s the educated Portuguese public, those who buy newspapers like Sol.

This is not a Sandra Felgueiras on a entertainment show saying that here in the laboratory where we are, there are more than a hundred people who have an identical sample (according to her 17 in 20 alleles), and that makes this sample criminally irrelevant“a very special middle-class couple”.

This is not a 20 million dollar waste of money by Netflix (please, let’s have a show of hands from all those who watched the entire 8 episodes... yes, that's what we thought would be as many) in blatant bias in favour of the McCanns.

This is not even a former cop, who headed the investigation appearing on CMTV telling his side of the story, damning to the McCanns.

This is from, as we have said, from a prestigious and respected editor of a prestigious and respected Portuguese newspaper. This targets the elites, this targets sectors of society which have not been reached in such an overt manner against the McCanns.

There may have not been a reaction but the message has sunk in, as it mirrors what everyone thinks.

We hope to have shown our readers something that they probably missed.

And also hope to have shown what the perception of the well-educated sectors of the Portuguese society (the readers of Sol) is of the case: foul-play at the highest level of British society.

It shows how embarrassing it will be for the UK if it archives the case. Either it opts for the truth, which we sincerely hope it does, or it may decide to close down OG without results.

Time does to embarrassment what it does to lies: only makes it all bigger.

A very pro-McCann article from 2007 “Kate and Gerry McCann: Beyond the Smears” by David James Smith, The Sunday Times, December 16, 2007:

“I heard that a PJ officer had been surprised to find a member of MI5 at a UK meeting about the case, and this made him suspicious that shadowy forces could be at work. The Sol journalist Felicia Cabrita mentioned the “mysterious Clarence” – Clarence Mitchell, the former government PR officer turned McCann spokesman – and I was told there was suspicion too about another government official, Sheree Dodd, who had acted as a PR officer for the McCanns briefly in the early days – had she come out from MI6 to help dispose of the body?

These theories might seem preposterous, but for those involved in the case in Portugal, they fitted a pattern in which the Portuguese government and in turn the PJ had felt the heavy weight of diplomatic pressure from the UK – a pressure that the police and the journalists very much resented, with its implication that the police were not doing their job properly. This could be one reason why the PJ were so ready to suspect the McCanns.”

    From same article:

“The British press were not blameless either, often lazily repeating allegations and sometimes repeating them despite emphatic denials from the McCann camp. If you read the blog sites on the internet you would discover an even darker, nastier tone. The McCanns and their holiday friends were swingers, apparently. That allegation was even made on the Portuguese equivalent of the BBC by a former PJ detective, Jose Barra da Costa. When I checked with him, he said he had been told by a friend in the UK who happened to be a police officer. No doubt that officer had plucked it from the internet. It is not true.”

    *****

Note how this, from 2007 could be from now. The allegation of swinging is swiped aside with a simple “No doubt that officer had plucked it from the internet. It is not true.”

Like saying searching for swinging in computers was obviously to search for… roundabouts.

Always the same argument: “show me evidence, show me the tiniest anything that will show there was swinging, go on… oh, that? Pfff… that is meaningless, nonsense, spiteful people spreading rumours, now please show me evidence, show me the tiniest anything that shows there was swinging, go on.”

Peeling the onion on the 'Tapas 7'

I know, this community is sick to the back of their teeth when it comes to Madeleine McCann.
I recently watched a documentary (Netflix) about swingers and my mind immediately thought of these people. Could it be plausible that there was an arrangement which led to the guests (holiday friends) being so loyal and quiet after this incident?
I don't think it was a group 'crime' situation but there is something odd about these people. It appears they are protecting themselves not the McCann's.
I would really love to know your thoughts on the Tapas 7. Perhaps, there was a swinger scenario and they are embarrassed or do not want to be exposed for their sexual exploitations?
Apologies for bringing up Madeleine again!”

Great work on getting so many different people connected to the case on these podcasts Mark, sadly a couple of those interviewed are frauds, liars or mere opportunists as is the case with Duarte Levy (who is not a journalist), that actually diminish the quality of your work imo.

Madeleine McCann's mother Kate McCann was an MI5 spy when the 4-year-old went missing, claims Portuguese journalist

This is not the first time Maddie's parents have been accused of being secret service agents, with disgraced police chief Amaral claiming last year that MI5 spies helped cover up Maddie's death and disappearance

      By Kunal Dey
      Published on : 07:06 PST, Apr 29, 2019

The Madeleine McCann case took an unprecedented turn this week after her mother Kate was accused of being a secret MI5 agent at the time her daughter went missing.

Sparking fury within the family, the ridiculous allegation in the days leading up to the 12th anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance on May 3 is not the first time that the 51-year-old has been accused of being in the UK's secret service, The Sun reports.

Speaking to Daily Mail, a family spokesman said, "These are absolutely absurd and ridiculous allegations, which Madeleine's parents are certain no one in their right mind would even consider believing. It is unmitigated garble and yet more nonsense they are having to endure at a very painful and difficult time for them."

Kate and Gerry have faced over 12 years of relentless conspiracy theories over the disappearance of their daughter. The spy claim was first made by a disgraced cop who initially led the police investigation in Portugal named Goncalo Amaral.

Now, the wild conspiracy theory has been flamed by Jose Antonio Saraiva, a veteran journalist and founder of Portuguese newspaper Sol. He alleged that he was told Maddie's sudden disappearance was directly linked to her parents' "secret activity" owing to her mother's "suspected" membership in MI5.

In the latest issue of Sol, Saraiva asked why Gordon Brown, UK's Chancellor at the time, decided to send British Ambassador John Buck to Praia da Luz immediately after news broke that the youngster had vanished from the holiday resort.

According to Saraiva, a certain female genetics doctor, who he identified as H. Santos, had already identified Kate McCann as an MI5 agent. He even went one step further claiming Maddie's father Gerry was also a potential spy, which would allegedly "explain" their daughter's disappearance.

The hurtful claims were fueled by the Sol issue. "This would explain the immediate dispatch to Portugal of a representative of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and future Prime Minister Gordon Brown," Saraiva wrote. "It was said that Brown did it because he was Gerry's schoolmate. But this explanation doesn’t wash. The English are very formal and there's not the cronyism there that characterizes Southern Europe. A minister doesn't send an official representative to find out about the disappearance of a little girl because he went to school with her father."

However, Brown and McCann have never been at school together, according to reports. Furthermore, the former Prime Minister, at 68, is 17 years older than Gerry.

Meanwhile, Amaral claimed last year that MI5 spies had helped cover up Maddie's death and disappearance, saying British secret agents "for sure had an involvement" in her vanishing inexplicably.

Both Kate and Gerry have spoken about the hurt caused to the family from all the outlandish speculation and conspiracy theories spewed by various individuals.

Clarence Mitchell, the spokesman for the McCann family, explained that their refusal to participate in the new Netflix series 'The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann' was based solely on their apprehensions over providing more fodder to conspiracy theorists. According to them, it would do nothing to help with the search for their missing child.

Since the beginning, Kate has maintained that she believed her daughter had been abducted. Gerry, on the other hand, took Amaral to court over his spurious claims about the case in the controversial 2008 book 'The Truth of the Lie'. At the time, he claimed the embattled duo had covered up Maddie's accidental death in their apartment.

Last year, Mitchell revealed that one of the "most ridiculous" theories he had come across was that Maddie's birth was the result of a clandestine government cloning project. The year before that, Gerry opened up about the hurt caused by such baseless accusations.

"I'm sure it is a very small minority of people who spend their time doing it, but it has totally inhibited what we do," he said at the time.

The Frog plays DNA like she plays SimCity, makes up stuff as she goes along and says DNA is what is the most convenient at the moment.

It contaminates very easily (Scenic) or it doesn’t (pillowcase).

It degrades rapidly (pillowcase) or it doesn’t (Scenic).

Maddie’s DNA would be easily found in 5A (because it was found) but to get Maddie’s DNA it was needed to go back to Rothley for it.

    1. The Frog loves to muddy up the waters by questioning what Mark Perlin can or cannot do: “If the original data is incomplete, what good is a computer programme which only provides a probability factor? Rather like knowing 3 winning lottery numbers in advance then using probability software to predict the other 3”, “Where was Perlin going to find Madeleine's alleles, missing from the samples tested, using a computer programme?”, “How can they separate an incomplete profile from the (possibly partial) profiles of other unknown contributors?” and “They didn't find a complete profile of Madeleine's DNA in the sample in question. Where do you find the missing alleles & how can you be sure that there is not a full profile of an unidentified person within the 37?”

Sounds very intellectual, doesn’t it? Very scientific, doesn’t it? It’s like the Frog writes out from cue cards given to her by some scientist who, for some reason, is very much interested in muddying up the waters as well to all things related to forensics in the case. It would seem like the Frog is just doing what NT did for years…

It may have worked for some but it didn’t work against us.

We cannot answer any of Frog’s questions. Because we don’t have the qualifications. But we do know of one person who does: Mark Perlin. He’s the one who can answer them all to Frog’s satisfaction and who knows to the Frog’s satisfaction, proving her right.

Why not give Mark Perlin a try? Why is the Frog constantly trying to diss Mark Perlin?

Why not give Mark Perlin a try? Let him do the tests and let him answer all the questions?

Why is the Frog constantly trying to diss Mark Perlin?

Perhaps you can answer the question as to why Amaral admitted his team had discussed various sentences with Kate's lawyer if no crime had been verified. No-one else seems able to explain what the "misunderstanding" was.
    2:30 am - 30 Apr 2019

    *****

    Link to this, please.

The sentences are in the law.

The police investigation determines facts, or as is called in Portugal “matter of fact” and then, if sees if the matter of fact has breached the law and it determines what “the matter of law” of the case is. In plain terms, what crimes it thinks have been committed.

Then, the court will confirm or not if said crimes were committed and apply the sentence according to the law. That’s the judge’s job.

Firstly, Frog’s comments are insulting to the police – which is something we know she likes to do and the friends who banter with her seem to be fine with that – as she’s implying that the police investigate according to sentences rather than to clarify facts.

Secondly, deeply insulting to Pinto de Abreu. As if a lawyer, any lawyer, needed to be reminded by the police what sentences the law stated for the various crimes.

      *****

      What misunderstanding?

Mr Amaral is clear “we only explained the nature of certain crimes” and by saying that the lawyer was present, it certainly was not the lawyer who had doubts or misunderstandings as the explanations were not directed at him.

There is no doubt there was no plea bargain. But then you have already recognised that there couldn’t have been one remember? Your words “I do appreciate a plea bargain does not exist within the Pt”

Did Kate ask what crimes were in question and he answered, possibly and probably and what would be wrong with that?

The lawyer was present, that means in no way Mr Amaral or any PJ officer said anything they shouldn’t have, otherwise Pinto de Abreu would have stopped it immediately.

Also very important, it is up to the lawyer to clarify his clients on all legal matters, no one else. Not the police. So both the eventual questions by Kate McCann and the respective answer by Mr Amaral have no legal value whatsoever and are not binding in any way and the lawyer knows that.

You should really stop making stuff up this way. It’s unbecoming.

The Frog does a Jules. Doesn’t have a link and waffles around.

Pinto de Abreu is an experienced lawyer. Mr Amaral was an experienced police officer. The Maddie case has been without a doubt the case with the highest profile in the country.

The Frog seems to think that both Pinto de Abreu and Gonçalo Amaral were primary school children playing cops and lawyers in some sort of school playground mock investigation.

Oh, and look who has come to support that the pillowcase was needed: Jules. Has this Mr Amaral defender forgotten that Mr Amaral wanted to collect clothing belonging to Maddie that was in the Algarve and his higher echelon didn’t allow it?

Does Jules think that Mr Amaral also didn’t “understand why Madeleines DNA needed to be sought away from a crime scene..”?

[Note from blog: No, it’s not normal procedure.

It’s not the role of the police to inform any arguido of this. If the police did that it could be taken as pressuring a witness into confession and any lawyer would have a field day.

Any citizen has the common sense to understand that to confess is most likely to produce lenient effects, no need for a lawyer to explain that.

Any lawyer fresh out of law school knows and would advise a client on the pros and cons of collaborating with justice, which is much more than to confess.

Do keep feeding the Frog with this lie by making it seem plausible.]

Is there any room for plea bargaining at this stage? The answer is "No". All a lawyer can do on behalf of his/her client is trying to submit evidentiary elements to reduce the suspicion against him. No bargaining is allowed.”
Note, not tell the client to confess but to ask the client to “submit evidenciary elements”, or in other words, facts. Facts that will always be facts regardless of future “changes of opinion”.

We would like to thank Isabelle McFadden for having found this document.

Novel DNA technique leads to arrest in 1994 cold case murder of young mom

Through the new investigative technique of genetic genealogy — and DNA left behind on a discarded cigarette butt — police have arrested a suspect in the 1994 murder of a 26-year-old mom.

Audrey Hoellein was raped and murdered in July 1994, according to police in Vancouver, Washington, just outside of Portland. Hoellein was separated from her husband and her son was about 5 years old at the time, according to police.

DNA was left behind at the crime scene, police said, and several suspects were considered over the years, but they were eventually eliminated because their DNA did not match.

Hoellein's father "thought he was going to go to his grave without any resolution as to what happened to his daughter," Vancouver police officer Dustin Goudschaal said at a news conference on Tuesday.

But in 2018, police reached out to DNA lab Parabon to help create a composite image of the unknown suspect from the DNA left behind at the crimes scene. Analysts were able to predict traits of the killer, including his hair color and eye color, said police.

Then, Parabon worked with the police department to use a new technique known as genetic genealogy to identify suspect Richard Knapp.

This crime not only took away a sister from her two brothers, it left a mother and father without a daughter, and a young child without a mother.

Through the new investigative technique of genetic genealogy, officials can take the DNA left behind at a crime scene and identify a suspect by tracing the family tree through his or her family members, who voluntarily submitted their DNA to public genealogy databases.

This allows police to create a much larger family tree than using DNA submissions to law enforcement database CODIS, CeCe Moore, chief genetic genealogist with Parabon, told ABC News.

The first public arrest through genetic genealogy was the April 2018 identification of the suspected "Golden State Killer." Since then, genetic genealogy has helped identify more than 40 suspects in violent crimes, Moore said.

After genetic genealogy was used to pinpoint Knapp as a suspect, investigators staked him out and obtained DNA from a cigarette butt he left behind, police officials said. That recovered a DNA sample and was sent to the Washington State lab to compare to the original DNA from the crime scene — and it was a match, said police.

Knapp, 57, was arrested on Sunday during a traffic stop near his home, Goudschaal said.

Knapp, of Farview, Oregon, had been working in the area of the Portland airport, Goudschaal said.

Knapp was from the area, but it does not appear he was known to the victim, police said.

He has a criminal history, but police did not elaborate or explain why Knapp's DNA was not in CODIS, police said.

The Hoellein family said in a statement released by the police department: "This crime not only took away a sister from her two brothers, it left a mother and father without a daughter, and a young child without a mother. Since then the family has grown with nephews that will never meet their aunt, and a grandchild that can only see grandma in pictures, only knowing her from shared memories."

The family added that it hopes genetic genealogy "can be used to bring closure to more families across the nation."

Knapp made a first appearance in court on Wednesday. He did not enter a plea.

His attorney did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.

    2. The evolution of science is always unkind to criminals.

That's why Mark Perlin's appearance has frightened those defending the hoax and who know what they are doing.

But Mark Perlin appeared lately and many other Mark Perlins will appear in the future.

Hiding the truth is like transporting a body in the boot of a car in Algarve's hot summer: there will always be a scent that will give it away. Inevitably.

As the system abhors self-condemnatory statements and so can say all sort of self-incriminatory things and then say its opposite later, there is only one reason and one reason only for an arguido not to answer questions when questioned by the police in Portugal: to express clearly that s/he does not wish to cooperate with justice, most precisely, the police.

Note, we’re not discussing rights. We have said that people who consider Kate guilty for not answering questions are wrong. No, it’s a legal tactic within the rights of the arguido.

Let us give you an example, a crime A has been committed at 15H00. The arguido, by mere chance was committing another crime, crime B, at that time elsewhere and does not want to cooperate with the police in clarifying where he was at that time. So, to the question, where were you at 15H00, the arguido refuses to answer. He has no guilt regarding crime A but he thinks best not to lead the police down the road of crime B if he answers that question without lying.

There is only one reason for one not wanting to cooperate with justice and that is because one has something to hide. Even if one thinks one is being unjustly persecuted by biased police, answering the questions is an opportunity to out that feeling clearly.

Note that an arguido is not limited by the questions answered. In fact, nor are the witnesses. Anyone knowing something that may be relevant to the case and to the clarification of the matter of fact but hasn’t be asked about it by the police, has the duty to speak out during the statement. Be it arguido or a witness.

So, if she was afraid that if she spoke, she was going to be jailed without a reason, she should have put that on the record. She didn’t because she would make a fool of herself and of her lawyer if she did it as no such hypothesis was even considered anyone. One does not go to jail easily in Portugal. Only a judge determines that. She would have to have said something very damning for the PJ to consider interrupting all and take her before the presence of a judge.

We have seen many people in Portugal being taken “under arrest” for questioning and walking out but have never seen anyone walking in and being arrested during questioning. The Frog is just being, once again, absurd.

As we said, one only doesn’t answer because one doesn’t want to collaborate with justice and one only doesn’t collaborate with justice because one has something to hide.

And even though the system is adverse to self-incriminatory statements, what is said can be self-incriminatory even if later denied. What an arguido says can help the police establish facts and those facts, once determined as facts, will be facts whatever the arguido later says or does. Speaking may help the establishing of facts that will be incriminatory. That’s the common motive why arguidos refuse to answer, they do not want to collaborate with justice, they have something to hide.

      Bringing it over, our translation:

“Where is Maddie? A new documentary on the most media disappearance of the century is coming

"The Madeleine McCann Mystery" premieres on May 26 at 11:00 PM on ID - Investigation Discovery.

After "The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann," a documentary series that arrived at the beginning of March on Netflix, the Investigation Discovery channel is set to debut a new production on the disappearance of the English girl in 2007 in Praia da Luz, Algarve.

“12 years after most mediatic disappearance of the century, the truth remains to be ascertained. The ID - Investigation Discovery goes further and wants to know where the sweet-eyed girl may be, in the documentary 'The Madeleine McCann Mystery', which will be aired on May 26 at 11 pm”, the channel has said in a statement.

"The Madeleine McCann Mystery" promises to analyse during two hours the details of the story, "creating a chronological line from the time Madeleine disappeared to the actions taken by the authorities and the efforts of the parents to her."

Gonçalo Amaral, former inspector of the PJ responsible for the case, Francisco Moita Flores, former inspector, and Fernando Pinto Monteiro, Attorney General at the time, among others, are some of the protagonists of the story. The two-hour special also contains statements from US experts and American journalists who followed the case.

"The disappearance of Madeleine McCann is all parents’ nightmare: our daughter disappears from a hotel room, in a foreign country, without a trace”, stresses Henry Schleiff, president of Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America. "There is someone who knows what really happened to Madeleine, which is why we want to involve our viewers in order to bring renewed attention to this disheartening case, hoping we can do justice once and for all”, he adds.

In a statement, the channel underlines that "The Madeleine McCann Mystery" is an "unbiased documentary, which dissects all lines of investigation that have been known over the past 12 years but have never been conclusive”. Because truth deserves to be known, every detail counts. And because Madeleine deserves justice, the case still deserves international attention.

Here's an excerpt from the documentary.”

As we said in the post, the MI5 allegation is a conclusion that we find acceptable for someone not familiar with the case to reach on seeing the level, scope and magnitude of protection that the McCanns enjoy, which is evident to all, even to those not wanting to know anything about the case. To those, the British media makes sure they see how well protected the McCanns are.

To those of us who are familiar with the case, the MI5 allegation is really absurd (to be clear, the allegation that Kate is MI5 and not the allegation that British intelligence is involved as we are certain it is).

This means we have the responsibility of not being part in spreading clutter, which is something this case has more than enough.

Thank you for your comment, needless to say how much your inputs are appreciated.

PJ follows new lead in Maddie’s abduction

REINFORCED TEAM - More investigators advance with the investigation of a new suspect of having taken the child in the resort of praia da Luz, exactly 12 years ago ACCIDENTAL CRIME - Parents were constituted arguidos. Case was later archived.

      Tania Laranjo / Débora Carvalho

A new lead and a new suspect - which the PJ is trying to maintain in the most absolute secrecy - have led again to the allocation of further resources investigating the whereabouts of the English child, who disappeared exactly 12 years ago, in a resort in praia da Luz, Lagos. The process, which was sent to Porto’s PJ to be reassessed, counts now with the collaboration of a wider team that still admits to clarify this mystery. This scenario would remove the parents - who came to be constituted arguidos at the beginning of the case.

The Public Ministry itself also admits that these new lines are strong and can lead to the clarification of the process.

A 12-year investigation marked with backs and forwards. Maddie disappeared in the resort where resided, when she was in the room with the 18 month old twin siblings.

The alert was given at 22h00 by the mother and the PJ even admitted a scenario of an accidental crime. Kate and Gerry McCann were constituted arguidos, the process was archived afterwards, but later data emerged that pointed to the possibility of the child having been abducted.

Now and after a few years without being known police diligences, the PJ bets again on the case and admits being closer to knowing what happened to Madeleine McCann.

Even in an abduction scenario, the authorities are very doubtful that the child, who would be 15 today, is still alive

      INVESTIGATION - PJ DENIES PRESSURES
Pedro do Carmo, then deputy director of the PJ, guaranteed in 2017 that the PJ never suffered political pressure. "The PJ did not feel any political pressure from the British authorities and even less from the Portuguese ones to act this way or that way. This pressure did not exist at all, "he said.

For the PJ, Maddie could have been abducted by a group linked to child trafficking or killed during an abduction gone wrong. However, nothing came to be proved and after more than thirteen months the authorities were forced to close and archive the case. The process was reopened in 2013.

Mystery on praia da Luz has already cost more than 13 million euros

So far more than 13 million euros have been spent trying to find the English girl. Operation Grange - a British police investigation into the disappearance of Maddie McCann - received an additional 172 thousand euros from the British government at the end of last year. This last amount served to fund the first months of this year.

Started in 2011, Operation Grange, with money now made available by the Home Office, hasn’t produced any relevant results. The amount already invested in the case has motivated countless criticism in England.

After having had close to 30 people working in the investigation, since 2015 the Metropolitan Police has only four inspectors on the case. Funding has been renewed every six months, with police always guaranteeing that it was following lines of investigation that could lead to the whereabouts of the girl who was then three years old. Maddie disappeared from the bedroom where she slept, together with the two twin siblings in a tourist apartment, while her parents were having dinner with friends.

Authorities took into account the seven friends of the McCanns
In addition to the McCann couple, the remaining seven adults of the group were in PJ’s cross-hairs. They were close to the events, lived in apartments near to the McCanns’, and could have had motives to harm the girl.

  20. We inform our readers outside Portugal that whatever was intended by whomever is pulling the strings on the Maddie case, all has now been totally surpassed by current events in Portugal.

The Portuguese parliament has currently the following political parties represented going from left to right in the political spectrum: Left Block (BE), United Democratic Coalition (CDU), Socialist Party (PS), Social Democratic Party (PSD) and Social Democratic Centre (CDS).

There is a 6th party with only 1 MP, the People-Animal-Nature (PAN) which is not precise in terms of the left-right placement although it has shown left tendencies. However, being represented by a single MP it holds no relevance in terms of political power-play.

Also, the CDU is made up of 2 political parties, the Communist Party (PCP) and the Green (Os Verdes).

The current government is from PS. The PS came second in the Parliamentary elections in 2015 but together with CDU and BE had the majority of the electorate.

PS has governed with the parliamentary support from CDU and BE. Both CDU and BE are not part of the government.

Yesterday, something unseen in the political life post-April 25, happened: both the left and right joined to vote something against the wishes of the government. In terms of political math, BE, CDU, PSD and CDU voted against PS.

The issue in question is particular to the Portuguese reality and will refrain from explaining any further other than saying it has to do with the career of teachers.

The reaction of the government was the PM, António Costa, announcing just minutes ago that if this law is implemented (a law is only implemented after being signed off by the President) the government will resign.

We imagine that this will capture all the attention of the media today and probably in the following few days.

We wouldn’t be surprised if CMTV Maddie’s special programmed for tonight, is not aired.

  22. About the latest news about the Maddie case and the “strong suspect” we remind readers that 2 years ago (sorry no patience to confirm when) the Met also said they had a strong suspect right in their cross-hairs… And Whitehall agreed, after the Met briefed them on that.

However, the news do point to finding a patsy. On that scenario, which would be a very stupid one to try and pin one’s colours to, we have analysed it and now have a private opinion on where this may be going and if we’re right, it’s the most cynical and appalling scenario.

Anyone following certain tweets over recent days may also have registered what we have. Someone may have said too much.

We won’t say any more at this stage about that to anyone but ourselves but will monitor developments.

We believe that it will be a very stupid attempt as we said, but won’t say it’s impossible to happen because we have seen some stupid things lately that we would have qualified as impossible in a recent past. We never forget that stupidity is indeed limitless.

Of the news we would like only to highlight one. This one: “CdM asked to look at the process and this was at first granted. However, the magistrate made a new dispatch, in which it’s not authorised, as the investigation counts "still with lines of active investigation" and their disclosure would be prejudicial.”

This is the only one that matters. A warning to some that the “new PJ Files” will end up having the fate of the “old ones” and that is simply that they will be read.

It would appear, even though reality is really hitting them in the face – 2 words: Brexit, Trump – to underestimate the effective power of social media. The more the established media persists in trying to shove the farce the Maddie case is as respectable reality, the more it is digging its grave. With no return.

  25. The CMTV special has aired.

    And… FINALLY!!!

The Tapas Esplanade filmed with no camera tricks! Full view.

    https://youtu.be/bz4n9oB7gC8

No Big Round Table. Just one huge octagonal one.

    This one:
    https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-czqVxjkSJ8U/WteIFv8oQ3I/AAAAAAAAQkQ/idO1sbV4uWwD56tXWBHBUcf9MagJFzFnQCLcBGAs/s320/BRT6.jpg

Which we first showed as a Post Scriptum to our post “The help and the tennis” on April 13 this year.
    https://textusa.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-help-and-tennis.html

Please note how big this octagonal table is in relation with the rest of the furniture. How noticeable. How impossible it is not to include it. But do remember this table only sits 8. There was supposed to be one there, BELOW the canopy that would sit 10.

Note how tight and small is the space where the BRT is supposed to have been.

This was for Portuguese viewership, so no subtitles. For our English-speaking readers, the video is of Tânia Laranja taking a hidden camera inside Tapas to have lunch there.

She wasn’t allowed because it was for members only and she was suggested to have coffee at Batista’s.

Tânia turns to leave and her focus is to show how little visible the apartment is from the esplanade. When she starts to film her way out she says, these were the tables the McCanns had dinner. Plural.

  26. Our summary of the CMTV program:

    Hats off to CMTV!

Yes, it was mentioned that there was one suspect (almost followed by saying is was suspects, plural). That the process had been open to the public (?) but now it was closed. On 7 keys as the Portuguese say.

No link made anywhere to paedos. New suspect is just that, "a suspect"

Later, we will see the feet of a man who says he knows where Maddie is, but when asked to say where, he asks for money.

And that’s as far as the program went in favour of the McCanns.

The rest of the program was to show the truth.

It started with establishing a parallel between Joana Cipriano and Maddie: 2 children missing investigated by PJ Portimão and in both cases, the child was not found.

Manuel Rodrigues says that the parents never collaborated with the investigation, that the investigation focusing on the parents never happened, that the parents and friends refused to do a reconstitution and that the parents will forever be suspects.

It was aired again the reconstitution already aired by CMTV in 2013.

Tânia Laranjo takes a hidden camera inside Tapas to show how little visible the apartment was from the esplanade.

The program focus on the window of apartment 5A. Mr Amaral debunks all the alleged by the McCanns about it. The whoosh-by-Kate on Oprah was shown. That Kate says she looked below the beds but the beds were sommiers, impossible to hide below. Mr Amaral says that Mrs Fenn is shocked by the fact that Gerry says “a child is missing” instead of saying “my child is missing”. Mr Amaral refers to the checking of the breathing of the twins.

The dogs and their alerts are shown. Mr Amaral speaks of “body fluids” found on the floor and curtains which indicates the presence of a body in the apartment. The accuracy of the dogs is highlighted. All with extensive images of the dogs. Including the clothing being set-up in the gym and the detection by Eddie on the pieces of clothing. Followed by the dogs and Scenic. Very damning.

Then the images from the files of apartment 5A on the night of the 3rd. Mr Amaral points out that the bed appears not used. He also points out that there was vestiges of an abduction. No break-in, no feet marks on the walls when climbing or out.

Tânia Laranja points out the milestones of the case. May 3 Maddie disappears, at 22H00 the alarm. The first thesis investigated was abduction but when PJ arrived the window was closed. Kate said that it was who closed it but forensics never detected the presence of an abductor. Tânia Laranjo says it could be a usual procedure for the group to sedate the children so they could dine. PJ only moved against the family after the dogs. Tânia Laranjo speaks that the hypothesis of Maddie having put in a coffin with a woman and later incinerated. The link between the McCanns and an Anglican priest who never accepted to cooperate with justice was established.

Robert Murat being an arguido and the searches his villa was subject to is mentioned, which affected negatively the credibility of the PJ.

False leads, false sightings, and the case became a business, still profitable today. The man wanting to make money appeared. Only his feet that is.

The Smith sighting is referred as Gerry being Smithman on his way to dumping the body at sea.

Mark Perlin’s offer is mentioned extensively and in detail. It was for free and refused.

  27. Handful of questions from someone not speaking Portuguese...

Re the process being open - do we know specific journalists who had access and what (if anything) remains public if looking in the right place?

Was the date of Tania Laranja's visit to Tapas mentioned?

If this piece truly had the inside track with Judiciary that was claimed, and took the time to mention Mark Perlin, what does that say about the perception of Perlin's work within the Judiciary?

    1. Anonymous 4 May 2019, 01:00:00,

Regarding your first question, an image of the dispatch/decision of not allowing the access to the files was shown and it was addressed to Tânia Laranjo, dated April 20, 2019, so we’re assuming she was the journalist who tried to have access to them.

We believe that saying the files were accessible and suddenly stopped being is wrong. As everyone is familiar with by now, secrecy of justice is a big thing in Portugal so files from investigations still open are not accessible. As far as we know, the process was opened in 2013 and has remained open all this time.

There’s a possibility of there being a confusion between the files from the archived process – available to the public – and the files from the ongoing investigation.

No date of Tania Laranja's visit to Tapas was mentioned and there’s no way to know but would assume it to have been recently.

About Mark Perlin’s mention being last in the “CM Special” last night, we believe that it has nothing to do with the importance given but with editorial decision. We would say it was left for last, as the Portuguese say, “to leave the taste in the mouth”.

Please don’t take the number of words we used for each topic in our summary comment as the relevance given to each one by CMTV. Each topic had significant air time, with the exception of the hidden camera because it was just that.

      Hope to have replied.

  28. Today, we would like to bring over this touching comment submitted to our previous post, for reflection of all:

"Just recently I've been looking at YouTube footage of Kate and Gerry, the most recent I can find is a couple of years old. I have to say Kate looks like she's had enough, as if she's at the end of her tether and can't take any more.

Whatever it was they felt they had to do at the time is not sitting well with Kate, Swan of the odd couple, Summers and Swan, claimed she'd spoken to Kate and Kate was 'broken'.

Regardless of what they must have felt they had to do at the time, I can't help but feel sorry for Kate, she will have to live with their decision for the rest of her life and will never be able to fully heal as long as she continues to live under the conditions she's found herself in.

Swan doesn't understand why Kate is broken after all these years, but I believe she's telling the truth exactly as she sees it.

There are many comments on YouTube saying 'Kate's ready to crack', and from what I've observed, Kate has looked like she's been ready to crack many times, but she can't.

Far too many people will be implicated in the cover-up, not least her mom and dad, and she would never ever get them into potential trouble, not in a million years.

Ultimately, and no matter what people on the internet say happened to Madeleine, Kate and Gerry have lost a child under tragic circumstances, and perhaps it's time for those same people online to try starting from the beginning.

View things with fresh eyes, ask why so many previously clean as a whistle people would participate in such a convoluted but clever charade, and try to embrace at least a modicum of empathy.

Just look at Kate's face, she's crying out for help and understanding.

There's a book out on the market at the moment, I believe it was released a few years ago, its entitled Free to Love, its a Christian Romance and is written by Kate McCann.

The novelette centres around an inn keeper and a doctor. There's also accidents, sudden and tragic accidental death and twins mentioned.

Is the author our Kate McCann, I wonder?

And if it is, could it be her way of trying to tell us something? Frankly, if it is, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Such a sad situation, and one that will never go away as long as the media and others continue to invent wild and disingenuous stories about what happened to Madeleine Beth McCann.

Given all we know thus far, and considering the power behind the abduction production and the amount of interference from Leicester police, maybe this case was never meant to be solved.

Perhaps it's finally time to accept it, and let the McCanns raise their remaining children in peace.

It was a terrible tragedy, they panicked and covered it up, a plan was put into place and everyone involved would adhere to the abduction story for the rest of their lives.

Understanding in a way, and probably done for altruistic reasons and to avoid embarrassment, but what a horrible way to live their lives.

Surely some of them must feel some guilt and regret, that won't be Charlotte Pennington or Jim Gamble though, she's thoroughly hard-faced and an unconvincing actor, and Jim Gamble's in it for himself and always has been.

Just look at his involvement in the Brenda Leyland outing, "Gr8 work" Martin Brunt. Such a transparent, flawed, greedy and weak-minded jerk.
He's only cocky because daddy is protecting him and the fake storyline.

There are actually decent people involved in the abduction hoax though, but some are the exact antithesis.

Poor casting and all that, what can one say?

And Textusa, if you really want this case solved, I'm afraid you're going to have to do it yourself. Operation Grange and Portugal are never going to do it, of that I'm absolutely certain.

Good luck with your future endeavours, thanks for listening and have a lovely evening.

  30. ‘No date of Tania Laranja's visit to Tapas was mentioned and there’s no way to know but would assume it to have been recently.’

Can’t post photos here, but I was in PdL a couple of weeks ago and posted photos on the following thread:

    https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t16075-praia-da-luz-april-2019

The main pool only had a bit of water in the bottom on 9th April and was gradually filled that week.

‘Gerry’s tree’ from the ‘last photo’ was barren at the top and was then chopped down completely on 14/15 April. The three trees in the background in TL’s video from the OC reception (@ 0.34) all show growth and the ‘last photo’ tree I think should be a bit further to the right of this group.

On the wall to the left of the entrance can be seen the fixings where the Secret Garden Pizzeria, which took over from the Tapas was advertised, but this has now closed as well. I did ask the woman (probably the same one) about the Pizza place, but she said ‘just pools’.

Pool and garden opened for first time on 16th April, although there was still no water in the kids pool, so the TL shots must have been taken on or since that date.

Going along with her recommendation for coffee, although you sit at the back of the Baptista, pretty much in the car park with no view, it was the best place in the village that we found for cakes!

      Thank you for your question.

Only Mark Perlin could answer it. Because he’s a scientist, because he would know if there could still be biological evidence after all this time but fundamentally because he’s the only one who can say how would his technology make a difference.

With that disclaimer, we would say that is not what is at stake. From what we have understood it’s not about what was retrieved – it appears to be sufficient for his purposes – but what was possible to do, or not with what was retrieved.

The Brit "MI5" media, protecting the hoax by trying to pin the S&S absurd suspect - the MI5 allegation, as we have said in the current post, is a conclusion that has reason to support it, this abductor is just an insult to anyone’s intelligence - to CdM's "new lead and new suspect", who, having read the article and having seen the TV programs (Investigation CM and Rua Segura) wasn't described in any more detail about him/her other than being “a suspect”.

Another sign of this Brit-protection-by-media is this:

Brunt jumping on Mr Amaral’s words in Mark S’ podcast. Brunt who some consider as a trustworthy source about the existence of a BRT in Tapas (anyone seen it in Tânia Laranjo’s hidden cam video?).

This only shows the circus has gone out of control. It is now only reacting, grasping at straws and having lost totally the shame as it has stopped caring on how ridiculous it is being.

  35. Bringing this over from Joana Morais’ blog:

    https://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2019/05/where-is-madeleine-mccann.html

    Where is Madeleine McCann?

When justice is subservient to politics, it never works. Only the separation of powers guarantees democracy.

    By André Ventura

The arrest of hacker Julian Assange led to the immediate retaliation by Wikileaks*: the release of thousands of secret documents, including the report of the Judiciary Police regarding the case of the missing English girl in the Algarve.

Any new data? Any special revelations about the investigation? Not really. What stands out is the immediate conclusion that when political actors begin to want to control the course of justice, it rarely works.

Why did the English ambassador worry so much about a criminal investigation? Will he care as much whenever a British suffers or causes a crime in Portugal? Why did the British authorities, namely the Prime Minister, wanted the dismissal of Inspector Gonçalo Amaral at all costs?

But at the same time, we must ask ourselves why did Portugal ceded in sending to an English laboratory, in the midst of all the pressures, the analysis of the DNA that was collected? And why did the information circulate that it would be totally compatible with little Maddie's DNA when in fact the samples were extraordinarily insufficient?

Conclusion: If today some factor is responsible for not knowing where Madeleine McCann is, the political and the PR communications war going on can perfectly assume this role.

Does anyone doubt that, had it not been for the pressure from the British authorities, the McCanns would at least have been charged with the crime of exposure or abandonment? And, on the other hand, does any parent who innocently loses a child refuse to participate in a reconstitution at the request of the police authorities, even at the risk of being detained?

In fact, in the midst of all this backstage war, finding the little English girl or knowing what her fate is seems to have become secondary. This is the lesson to learn: separation of powers has to be taken seriously, even when one has to investigate doctors or engineers from the upper European classes.

    *****

We are bringing this over for the same reason we brought to the attention of our reader’s the MI5 allegation article by José António Saraiva: visibility of the accusations against the McCanns in Portugal.

Quoting ourselves from our current post: “In terms of general or non-specialised news, we would say that if were to speak about daily papers, Público and Diário de Notícias hold the most prestige. Correio da Manhã, has the highest sales but it relies on its tabloid style.”

    (Cont)

    ReplyDelete
  36. (Cont)

Let us also quote ourselves from our post “Rua Segura - April 9/10/11 2019”
    https://textusa.blogspot.com/2019/04/rua-segura-april-91011-2019.html

“We would say that CMTV (acronym for Correio da Manhã TV) is the one of the most watched. Within its direct competitors – SICN, TVI24 and RTP3 – it is.
“One could say that CMTV in Portugal has, paraphrasing Joe Moura, a pattern, a habit for its nightly programming.

This, shall we call it, routine starts with a panel of sport-commentators which may vary in the name of the show but basically it’s the always the same formula: one or 2 commentators to the right of the host, another one or 2 to his left and debate endlessly about the 3 major football clubs of the country: Benfica, Porto and Sporting.

    (…)

After ‘Rua Segura’, CMTV follows it up with a short sport news program. Basically, every night it’s this routine: sport, crime (‘Rua Segura’) and sport. That’s how CMTV captures its audience and maintains its high ratings.”

André Ventura is a frequent commentator in both the sport programmes as well as in Rua Segura. José António Saraiva directs his words at the educated layers of society but André Ventura has a wider visibility, as football appeals to all layers of society.

In his role as support commentator, is a fervent supporter of Benfica the football club with the most followers in Portugal – 6 million. The passion for Benfica (we ask forgiveness to the supporters of the other 2 clubs) is such that when this club is champion Portugal “stops” having problems.

Add to this, André Ventura was a PSD candidate the local elections to Loures (East of Lisbon and one of the densest municipalities in terms of population in Portugal)

Lastly, he has now decided to lead a new political party “Chega”. With populist tendencies. Even though it has at the moment slim chances of electing anyone, ‘Chega’ will run for the European elections.

The point we are making, and that is what matters, is that André Ventura has visibility. A lot of visibility.

So, it is Martin Ney. Seriously? No, really… seriously?

It seems that from the catalogue of “available German paedos with links to the Algarve” he was the only result returned.

The readers who have been with us for a long time (and this will probably surprise the new ones) will remember that we said that we didn’t mind negligence being propagated as long as it would end up with an official accusation about it.

We maintain that opinion. And to clarify, we oppose fiercely the negligence that seeks to close the case but, although not supporting it, won’t act against the negligence that leads up to an accusation.

Once there’s a formal accusation, the tune changes and lady truth will then be able to sing. One thing is to say this and that via media, another is to say this and that in a court of law.

So, let’s see an official pinning the blame on Ney.

Go on, we dare the authorities to do that. It would be so funny.

On a serious note, isn’t there someone on the “inside” who has a “ridiculous-alarm”? Because the ridiculousness of the Maddie case is now coming raw, totally unfiltered and literally by the ton. So ridiculous that it isn’t even funny anymore, just painfully embarrassing.

To get the idea, it’s as ridiculous as if we would all be witnessing the media trying to convince the world that John F Kennedy died from poisoning.

If one looks at his whereabouts, he was working in Hamburg between 2000 and 2008.

Of course, that doesn’t mean he couldn’t travel to the Algarve but his work records may prove where he was in May 2007.

This German site gives details of where he was in 2000-2008:
      https://www.weser-kurier.de/bremen/bremen-stadt_artikel,-Martin-N-Toetungsfantasien-schon-als-Jugendlicher-_arid,230463.html

“From 2000 to 2008 he was a member of a youth housing group of the Protestant youth welfare service Friedenshort GmbH in Hamburg's Harburg district.” (Google translation)

Man working in Germany, goes randomly to the Algarve (off-season vacation?), abducts Maddie, is able to elude authorities worldwide and no one in Germany where he works, notices anything unusual.

Quoted as “During his entire employment he appeared as a friendly, dedicated and competent employee”. So, his employment record during this period should be documented.

It can’t be claimed that Ney’s link to the Algarve is a new clue, as it’s mentioned in this old article that he worked at an evangelical church:
      https://www.gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk/Nigel/id369.htm

The article doesn’t say the church was in Algarve but later articles confirm that.

There is nothing about Ney in recent articles that is a revelation, certainly not his Algarve connections in the 1990s.

His involvement with an evangelical group in the Algarve was known some years ago, so that can’t be quoted as new evidence which has sparked a new investigation.

Lastly, all his known offences involve boys.

Seriously, Hewlett made more sense and the attempt to involve involvement him in the case proved to be completely absurd.

Are you seriously trying again? Do keep in mind that the Hewlett attempt was before the Portuguese Supreme Justice Court confirmed the McCanns were not cleared, before dogs, blood and cadaver scents were allowed on TV screens and the José António Saraivas and André Venturas wrote articles damning for the McCanns.

      Again, go on, dare you.

Post Scriptum: See how quickly things can be checked up these days?

Did they, like Murat, also have a contract? Strange, whilst over the years the world has been looking for Madeleine yet not one of the nannies or other members of "staff" have ever come forward to sell their stories about their time with Madeleine.

In what way does this help find the truth about Maddie? It doesn’t. Imagine being someone new to the case, spawned by curiosity from latest news and programs and reading this. What would one think? That people who claim are here for the truth are concerned on whether Gerry is being or not faithful?

Could there be a more apt example of trolling in the worst meaning of the world? We think not. Wouldn’t that new reader see it confirmed that those online against the McCanns are just haters? Yes, that new reader would.

Based on what is Isabelle McFadden accusing Gerry of being an adulterer?

There is not even the slightest hint to that effect and if there was, what does that matter in order to find the truth about what happened to Maddie? What is it of McFadden’s business, or anyone else’s for that matter, what Gerry does in his private life? What next, that it is relevant if he set aside his peas for lunch in the hospital cafeteria last Wednesday?

    (Cont)

    ReplyDelete
  49. (Cont)

But setting aside peas on a plate is not sexual and but being accused of having an affair is.

McFadden and Silverdoe above are helping significantly to show how relevant “sex-shaming” is in this case. Adultery is a legal sexual activity both in the UK and in Italy, yet they shame it. Why? No crime committed, so why mention it? Why even think of it?

    Because it’s salacious. Because it’s scandalous. Because it’s sex-shaming.

The very recent “slag-gate” showed with total clarity how to be on the receiving end of sex-shaming is not pleasant at all. No one wants or likes to be on that end. No one wants to have the righteous and sanctimonious finger of a hypocrite society pointed in their direction. No one. One wants one’s reputation intact.

That’s why accusing someone of swinging or of adultery is considered slander. And both are legal.

One just has to imagine what one would do or accept to do to avoid being on the receiving end of a sex-shaming scandal in case one had indeed committed something legal but condemned by society.

A society that is filled with McFaddens and Silverdoes who will not hesitate to point a snickering finger. Just read above them doing it based only on a wild speculation plucked out of someone’s incontinent mind…

Note how swinging doesn’t abandon these people’s minds. Why?

If they say swinging is legal, that no one would care what each one does privately… blah… blah… blah… then why care if Gerry is or not an adulterer? It’s legal and it would be something private to his life?

To be clear, because we KNOW that these allegations are very offensive, we have no reason to think that Gerry was in Italy for an affair.

McFadden says conferences are for people to have affairs. Any affair is ruled by 2 keywords: discretion and opportunity. Conferences are away from home and provide both, so we would say for people having affairs, yes, a convention/conference would be a reasonable scenario for that to happen.

Does that mean that the vast majority of people who attend conferences are there for the sex? Of course not.

They are both “fun meet & greet times for professionals” and commitments. These events are meant to bring together people from the same field in order to discuss challenges, discuss states-of-the-arts, seal deals that otherwise would not be possible if people weren’t gathered in the same place.

All of us who have ever attended a professional conference and for those other cardiologists attending that conference in Milan, it’s a huge assumption to make to say that it’s to have affairs.

What sort of conferences has McFadden attended to come to this conclusion?

Do we not consider relevant the fact that Gerry was not present in the ceremonies?

We have to consider that the cardiology world does not move in accordance with Maddie’s one, so it’s perfectly reasonable to think that the date of the conference in Italy was in conflict with the anniversary of the day Maddie went missing.

If Gerry could have arranged his life differently, then his absence would be significant; if not, it’s not. It’s been 12 years, after all.

We do consider relevant 2 other things about what happened this year.

One, the fact that apparently only were present 2 family members, aunt Janet and uncle Brian Kennedy, who could be seen in photos inside the church.

Two, that it was a Baptist church, which is a different church sect to the church last year. This means that this year and last year, both ceremonies were at non-Roman Catholic Churches.

Nothing wrong with that but strange for professed Catholics.

That's why I asked about knowledge of the mobile number because if we don't believe the Carpenter's received it via the email then they possibly weren't strangers and that's what I'm trying to get to the bottom of. #McCann

Besides the question about how the Carpenter’s had Philomena McCann’s phone number, which we consider to be VERY PERTINENT and absolutely in the interest of outing the truth, are we missing something?

    2. Stephen Carpenter's imaginary architecture and contents, were they part of the script? Or is he merely ad-libbing? If so, why?

    3. Anonymous 8 May 2019, 00:23:00,

You bring up a very interesting point, ad-libbing, improvisation and following a script in this case.

In terms of terminology we would agree with this one from reddit:
      https://www.reddit.com/r/whatstheword/comments/2mimz8/whats_the_difference_between_adlib_and_improvise/

“To ad-lib is to improvise a performance or speech. All ad-lib is improvisation, but some improvisation isn't ad-libbing. MacGyver frequently improvised, but only sometimes ad-libbed.”

In Portugal there’s a comedy group called “Commedia à la Carte” (CALC).
      https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commedia_%C3%A0_la_Carte

It is a professional group specialised in improvisation, that’s all they do and have been doing it since 2000. Their performance is an interaction between them and the public.

At first glance, it would seem a rather simple way to earn a living, as one has nothing to prepare, just walk on stage, get the input from the audience, roll with it, finish the act and come back the following day.

It’s not that simple, in fact there’s a lot of preparatory work involved. The most well-known face of the group is César Mourão and he was asked what was the secret of their success.

He replied that it was hard work, that there was very little improvisation in their improvisation and then he went on to explain their technique.

He used the analogy of a corner-kick in a football match. There are fixed elements, the ball is kicked off by the corner, the playing pitch is defined, the goal is in the middle and the idea is to score a goal. Those are the constants.

The improvisation is the ball. Before it is kicked, the way it is going to be kicked is an absolute surprise for the defending team.

Even for the attacking team, there’s an element of randomness as the ball may not keep to the expected planned trajectory.

This means that the players from both the defending and attacking team have to react to a factual certainty that is only known to them after the ball is kicked. Thus, the improvisation.

But, pointed out by Mourão, teams can practise for as many eventualities possible that can happen to that ball. Meaning that although faced with an absolute random event, the trajectory the ball is (not will) travelling, the players can quickly recognise its elements to determine in that moment what planned play is the best to achieve a goal.

What is an apparent improvisation is, after all, all planned, trained and executed on the pitch.

But there is absolute improvisation in the analogy. Football is a collective game. As said, the players playing the play will only know where the ball is going after it is kicked. Each one will analyse what plays are possible and act accordingly. That means that at the start, there are as many plays in motion in that particular moment as there are players on the pitch, as each one reacts to what each has interpreted what will follow.

With the flight of the ball, with the movement of the all other players, each player improvises and adapts. Note, each player adapts and improvises with plays he was trained to play within that particular situation of the game. Improvisation without improvisation.

Continuing with the football analogy, a player ad-libs when the ball for whatever reason randomly changes its trajectory and the player is simply reacting when he acts to that ball. It’s instinctive, it isn’t pre-planned, it just is. It just happens.

      (Cont)

      Delete
    4. (Cont)

Improvisation is when one adapts expectedly, ad-lib when its unexpected. The difference? When one ad-libs the sense of purpose, of objective is reduced to a minimum and sometimes it even doesn’t exist.

Most mistakes happen when one is ad-libbing not when one is improvising.

      Now let’s look at Carpenter’s improvising v add-libbing.

The stakes were too high for anything not to be scripted and all was. The problem was that there was no time to write the script properly, so the actual ‘writing’ was a pure act of total ad-libbing, as those involved were just reacting to the events with only a vague idea of what the objective was, other than making sure that the swinging was kept off the table at all costs. Only that group of people were to be implicated, no one else.

If there was no time to write the script, then less time was there to foresee any improvisation. It was all, you say this and this, make sure the police understand this and that detail, be certain that negligence is captured and assimilated.

In the football analogy, the ball was kicked according to a poorly prepared script so when it was flying over all players were ad-libbing no one was improvising. All, including Carpenter, in our opinion. But not only him. The Tapas queues and reservation sheets are pure ad-libbing, the creche records as well and also the Ocean Club’s reservation sheets, to just list a few.

All were ad-libbing following an ad-libbed script. Little or no improvisation.

And that’s why so many other mistakes were made by so many. As said, when add-libbing it is hard not to make them and that’s exactly what happened in Luz.

Carpenter just had the misfortune of giving a longer statement. That’s what his part in the play had to do. But if one is to look at his statement and make a ratio of mistakes per word, one would see that he is well within the average.

  53. VERY INTERESTING clip from Martin Brunt:

    https://youtu.be/KvXdQFH_X7g

    Transcription:

[Martin Brunt, voice over] If the police are right about their new suspect, a paedophile, it would be the worst news for Madeleine McCann’s family.

Portuguese TV revealed police were investigating someone new but gave no detail. It said that Madeleine’s squad had been given new resources after the tip-off. A respected news website said more: the suspect is not unknown to the Portuguese police. At the time the Judiciary even investigated him for suspicions of involvement in paedophilia cases.

The man suspected of abducting Madeleine from her bed is thought to be a German national who is already is in prison, but who is he?

A month after Madeleine vanished, the UK Serious Organised Crime Agency was given information about several German potential suspects but it’s understood the new suspect was identified recently by German police.

In the years before and after Madeleine’s disappearance, police investigated 28 where a paedophile crept into holiday homes most of them rented by young British families. The details were revealed in a recent book about the Madeleine case.

[Anthony Summers]: If you took a map and took the little towns around Praia da Luz, Silves, Albufeira, Carvoeiro, there, there were… known paedophiles, or suspected paedophiles who had been working or operating or at one point had been arrested.”

[Martin Brunt, voice over] Twelve years on there’s a fortress-like feel to apartment 5A from where Madeleine vanished. The new owners appear to have hidden their home from prying eyes. The flimsy gate replaced by something less welcoming.

[Martin Brunt]: The suspected paedophile kidnapper is not the only focus of this investigation, for two years detectives have also been pursuing a quite different theory. One that centres on a suspect a long way from here and the subject of a delicate operation. One that police hope will be kept secret until it’s concluded one way or another.

[Martin Brunt, voice over]: Madeleine’s family cling to the hope she’s still alive but if either current theory is proved, their hope would have been in vain. Martin Brunt, Sky News in Portugal.”

    *****

Please ignore the twaddle up to the 2 last paragraphs.

So, new suspect has nothing to do with paedophilia. The only thing we know is that s/he is “a long way from here”.

And also what do we get to know about this long-way-suspect? That if it is confirmed that the long-way-suspect is indeed whodunnit, then that means, says Martin Brunt, that Maddie is not alive.

    Now, isn’t that so interesting?

You're right - there was no BOT at the Tapas Bar that week which is why I don't have a photo of it.
    12:18 am - 9 May 2019

    *****

We won’t even comment about us saying that we now believe the BRT is the octagonal table which now exists in Tapas.

However the Frog, again, helps us prove the point that there was no BRT used by the T9 in Tapas in 2007

Frog says “there was no BOT [Big Octagonal Table] at the Tapas Bar that week which is why I don't have a photo of it”.

Between the BOT and the BRT there is only ONE difference and it’s not the shape. It’s that one exists and the other never did. All other differences stem from this one.

The fact that the BOT does exist means that one can present photos of it. The Frog doesn’t have pics of it? We do. Here it is:

    https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-czqVxjkSJ8U/WteIFv8oQ3I/AAAAAAAAQkQ/idO1sbV4uWwD56tXWBHBUcf9MagJFzFnQCLcBGAs/s320/BRT6.jpg

Look at it. No trick shots. Fully within the frame in all its glory, nothing to hide. No questions it’s octagonal, no question it sits 8, no question that it is at Tapas.

Anyone doubting its existence, and no one has, the proof that it does is above and is provided quickly on request.

And the BOT is in this video:

    https://youtu.be/bz4n9oB7gC8

In fact, that is the entire point, taking into account its size and how small the esplanade is, it will now be very difficult for the BOT not to appear somehow in any image taken of the esplanade.

That is exactly what we expected to happen with the BRT. But that fascinating table has never been photographed. Ever.

Things that exist are very easy to prove they exist. The octagonal table exists, very easy to prove it does, as we have.

When things don’t exist or never existed, it’s impossible to prove that they did.

Well then, let us help you. The word for swinger in Portuguese is swinger.

Swinging can be 2 things in Portuguese, swinging or troca de casais.

Google translator translates swinger into grupal?? At least we got to know what you meant because what we thought you meant was groupie.

Now that we understand your logic, we see that you are one of those who believe that the defenders of the paedo theory are paedos.

Post Scriptum: Grupal was not the only mistake. You made the exact same one Jules made when she attempted to show how fluent she was in Portuguese. You may want to revisit that.

    2. Interesting that you needed to clarify that swinging is not your lifestyle.

One does not need to engage in swinging to know about swinging. Or any other sexual activity of non-sexual activity. But you felt the need to "prove" that you were not a swinger yourself.

"Você tem medo de ser revelado como um grupal?" which we suppose is to supposed to mean "are you afraid to be revealed a swinger?"

Why would Carla be afraid of such a revelation? Aren't you one of those who say that swinging is legal and no one would care if one was to be known as swinger?

      So why the fear?

Because, indeed, swingers are very much afraid that their swinging lifestyle is known. For obvious reasons. For example, revisit "slag-gate".

    2. The blog’s summary of Mark S’ latest podcast:

2 weeks ago (date from podcast) MS alerted Neves about Dr Perlin’s offer of testing DNA followed up by direct offer from Perlin contacting him.

Last week MS sent an e-mail to G Mc alerting him to Dr P’s offer and provided him with Dr P’s contact details. MS then alerted the official Fin Madeleine campaign with the same info and a mail address forwarded his message to OG but neither message was acknowledged.

SY has know about Dr P’s offer for 14 months and no response.

GA told him OG is trying to wind up the case and target a German paedophile but the German in jail was not responsible.

The PJ are mobilised and hunting a new suspect and the media are reporting it is Ney.

His requests to interview Mcs either declined or ignored.

In conversation with Pat Brown..... she rhetorically asks “is M alive or dead?”. For her it’s black and white, there is zero evidence she is alive and Mcs say there is zero evidence she is dead, only by ignoring good amount of available evidence.

Kidnapping – or sex trade- extremely unlikely because a predator kills a victim within 1-2 hours so more likely she died in the apartment ‘for some reason’.

July 22 G Mc goes to Washington and K is alone with the twins.

July 23 late at night K phoned Paiva the liaison officer about having a dream of M being buried on Rocha Negra. G hotly disputes K’s dream at the libel trial (MS calls it a libel trial) saying she did not have a dream. Paiva said under oath she did tell him about the dream and G spoke to reporters and denied such a dream.

Paiva and others take this as K saying M is dead and a turning point which led to M Harrison brining in the cadaver dog.

MS describes Rocha Negra and police searches.
He speaks to Dr Van Gold (?) about lying and people can convince themselves events were different to how they really were but not completely believe they are innocent.

16 days later Almeida writes a 16 page report, he questioned T9 tapas timeline, the reliability of JT sighting and DP’s visit to 5A. He highlights both dog findings.

PB – “Zero evidence anyone from outside entered the apartment, no kidnapping evidence”. She leans towards the theory they may have sedated the kids to leave them and do checks.

The police explore sedation as a possible theory but why if there was an accident in 5A why not just call an ambulance. Sedation or other occurrence would be revealed in an autopsy and dramatic repercussions.

K being asked the 48 questions discussed and her potentially involved and sedation.

A BBC interview with Mitchell was played with him saying K didn’t answer any questions as advised by her lawyer.

A Portuguese TV programme was played with G Mc denying they ever gave the kids Calpol or any sedation.

The GNR officer, first to arrive at 5A on the night didn’t wake and describes K and G as being nervous and anxious but no tears only noises.

3 months later there is an interview with G in a car and he suggests possible sedation by an abductor.

PB speculates about the sofa against the wall and M perhaps being woozy an fell over the back and maybe hit her head or asphyxiated and the dogs alerted for a reason. Maybe a kidnapper hid her body behind the sofa but she makes clear she is not seriously suggesting this by saying “no-one hides bodies behind sofas in these situations” so an accident is more likely. She talks about panic and carrying off a child.

      MS goes into
      - Last sighting of M at 5.30 by Cat Baker
      - G and DP timelines
      - Kids too tired for the planned play session
      - K and DP stating different times for his length of stay at 5A
      - JT saying K was moaning about G watching football on tv during his check

PeterMac speaks to MS, he didn’t think it possible someone carrying a child could get out of the window, it would involve grabbing things. He mentions the shutters.

PB says Smithman sighting exists but JT sighting is questionable.

She says “no-one ever claimed to be that man carrying a child to the beach but did he turn and go in a different direction? To his home, a car drive off?

When she was in PdL she looked at the beach and what would be possible to do in that short time.
MS- Upturned boats, crevices in rocks or bin.

PB thinks body could have been moved. “ Was she moved twice?-possible.”

She thinks it possible the body could have been moved 3 times, the 3rd being several weeks later. She believes she found a spot for location 2, an excellent hiding place on the eastern edge of sandy beach as the cliffs begin to rise up from the coast.

M Harrison also pinpointed this area as a possible location for a dead body. The police found no evidence of this and the dogs found nothing.

PB and MS had a conversation about places, people and dead bodies and a site is chosen because the killer is comfortable with it.

She thinks Smithman is the suspect and taking M’s body to location 1. During the frantic search he moves her and buries her in a shallow grave then weeks later returns with a car and moves her to another location.

New South Wales body farm expert interviewed. MS asks about detail of body hiding and she says it may be possible but sounds sceptical.

GA- gives insight in conversation-nothing has changed for him and his conclusions are the same. No-one to date has been able to challenge the police findings.

The police question the checks, sedation, results of the dogs, JT sighting and G and Wilkins standing which side of the road. JT and JW say same side, G disagrees.

GA talks of the mystery apartment and freezer, they were looking as it had been mentioned to them but the investigation was interrupted and couldn’t be followed up. They were investigating frozen body as it’s possible and in the car. GA says people do put bodies in freezers’

C Sutton describes the case as fantastical.

MS brings up earlier time of events being May 1 but makes nothing of it.

The police were frustrated at T7 not returning for the reconstruction.

MS asks where the concern for M is in all this.

The fund No Stone left unturned but he says some stones were left unturned.

Perlin is convinced his DNA method would work. Nicola Wall hasn’t acknowledges his pro bono offer and Home Office refuses to confirm his offer. T May the PM declined to comment on it.

      Offer now with Neves.

GA – “there is no political will to solve anything”.

He brings up the paedophile links and contact with Mc family. The statement to verify this is buried by the UK police.

While in charge GA asked UK police for information about possible person of interest but UK police said there was absolutely nothing. They were concealing information and when it did arrive it was mixed up with other papers and it was obvious someone within the UK police wanted to break that silence and bring information to Portuguese police.

MS asks GA what would have changed if he had been given that information and his replynwas it would have changed everything.

MS put this to Leicester police but they declined to comment and referred him to SY who also refused to comment. Leicester police are currently under investigation, former senior officers inappropriately modified evidence. Their actions may have hampered multiple investigations of now dead Lord accused of being a paedophile. They received complaints about Greville Janner in the 90 and until 2006.

MS talks about Freud and Mcs visit for lunch. The allegations of abuse after his death. CF shared an office with another MP Cyril Smith. There are ongoing investigations whether police covered up CS’s abuse.

2008 CM signs a contract with Freud Communications while still representing Mcs.

GA alleges there was always interference from UK police in his investigations and he was removed because of political pressure coming from somewhere. The team after him were dedicated to archiving the case.

MS concludes the program saying “more evidence and parts of the story he isn’t able to tell, some elements too much of a legal risk”. He will keep pressing the DNA data and follow up line of enquiry GA talked about-the international paedophile ring.

In the making of this programme there were people and sources with potentially important information who couldn’t quite make the step to speak on record-that could change over time. Information was also passed onto him and he’s sifting through that to see where and who it could lead to.

His conclusion – he doesn’t think M was abducted, something else happened to her. M died in 5A. Her body was disposed of but by who? There is evidence that points to possible answers. Clearly OG must go back to the very beginning and explore all possibilities. Anything less is a travesty.

Inside the £80-a-ticket swingers club where the antics of sex-hungry couples and singletons are driving the locals crazy in one of Britain's most beautiful national parks - and they even leave the curtains open!

    - EXCLUSIVE: The Croydon Hall Hotel hosted one of its sex parties on Saturday
    - Locals are furious at the swingers events, which they say are disruptive
    - Under investigation by Exmoor National Park Authority over licensing concerns

More than 40 sex-hungry punters packed into an £80-per-night swingers club in one of Britain's most beautiful national parks on Saturday as the venue continues to feel the wrath of locals.

Adventurous twosomes and saucy single women wound their way through the country lanes of Exmoor to join a late-night sex party at The Croydon Hall Hotel, which has eight 'playrooms' indulging a variety of tastes.

The venue, which hosts the private sex club, is currently under investigation by the Exmoor National Park Authority over concerns that the venue may not have proper planning permission for its activities.

And residents in the sleepy village of Rodhuish in Somerset, where the hotel is located, are 'sickened' by the 'Disneyland for adults' that has sprung up. One says he has been forced to leave the village since the sex events began.

'People come to Exmoor on holiday and they do not expect to stumble across a sex club in this beautiful area. It makes me feel sick,' said Anne Pitts, 66, who moved to the area nine years ago, told Mail Online.

When MailOnline visited Rodhuish, 20 miles from Taunton, on Saturday, the hotel was hosting a sex-themed night entitle, 'Naughty Girls Rule', which is marketed under an image of one woman passionately kissing another's breast.

The event proved a popular attraction with more than 40 patrons – mostly couples, one foursome and a handful of single young women - attending the sex party.

Women arrived in seductive black lace, suspenders and leather skirts, and men were smartly attired in suits.

But their outfits didn't stay on for long. At the windows of the hotel, women dressed only in their black underwear could be seen frolicking and cuddling each other, while men stripped to their boxer shorts and sipped glasses of wine with female guests wearing only their bra and pants.

One woman appeared to be binding another's wrists.

A male patron, who left the venue at 2am with three friends, told Mail Online they had enjoyed 'a lovely evening'.

When asked if the location was appropriate for sex parties his female companion replied giggling: 'No!' Before hopping into the car, slamming the door and sweeping out of the car park into dark, narrow roads that criss-cross the Somerset countryside.

To attend the events, which are organised by Exclusively Silks, patrons must become members for £60-a-year and they pay additional fees for events, which include 'Trio Night', 'Fetish Party' and 'Discovering Swinging'.

Prospective guests are asked to complete a questionnaire about their body shape, tattoos, piercings and their sexual interests, including whether they prefer to have sex with others in front of their partner, or in a separate room.

They are also invited to disclose if they enjoy bondage or S&M, and if they are happy to be filmed having sex or would like to perform on a special stage set up within the hotel to thrill other guests.

However, the members may have to make the most of the club while they can since the Exmoor National Park Authority has said it is considering enforcement action against the venue over its planning concerns.

  66. (Cont)

Dean Kinsella, head of planning and sustainable development at the authority, said: 'The alleged breach is that the building is being used for a mixed use as a hotel/ private members' club.

'We are currently in the process of preparing an enforcement notice, as we consider that a change of use of the hotel has occurred.'

At the same time, residents are fiercely opposing a licence application filed by Exclusively Silks' owner Allen McCloud with the Somerset West and Taunton Council's licensing sub-committee. If approved, the application would see the hotel given permission to serve alcohol until 4am every night.

The venue is currently offering late-night sex sessions using temporary licences.

Neighbours are particularly concerned by the disruption caused by randy revellers coming and going until four in the morning and the risk posed by heavy traffic on the tight lanes of the national park.

And they fear their problems are only going to get worse as the numbers attending sex events swell in the summer and the passionate parties move outside into the stunning grounds and pool area.

'People are going to go outside, it's going to happen,' said Paul Bateman, 69, who says the arrival of the private sex club has been too much for him and he and his wife are set to move in June after 17 years in the village.

'When the better weather comes, who knows what is going to go on?'

David Pitts, 69, agreed. 'It is not a case of "thou shalt not have sex", it is just this is the wrong place for it.'

The district council is set to discuss the Mr McCloud's licence application at a meeting on Monday [April 29] and residents are expected to turn out in force.

'The hotel says online it has 80 parking spaces but there are not,' said Mr Pitts, who is also concerned the hotel will host stag and hen parties. 'The access is narrow and steep so we have the noise from revving engines and people shouting. We are disturbed on and off for three hours in the middle of the night.'

Eight houses are in close proximity to the hotel and the whole village is made up of just 293 residents.

Croydon Hall Hotel began advertising sex parties earlier this year, but residents claim only two, including one on Saturday, have gone ahead.

The hotel has converted some of its bedrooms into 'playrooms', including The Red Room, picking up on the bondage theme popularised Fifty Shades Of Grey, by EL James. The Red Room is equipped with paddles, whips and a sex swing and it can be reserved for £120. According to villagers, some beds have stocks.

S&M equipment, including whips, are featured on the Exclusively Silks website, which promises a 'night of fun, passion and pure indulgence'.

Mr McCloud, 59, is a former BP mechanic and was one of 22 Britons to survive the Algeria hostage crisis in 2013, in which at least 39 foreign hostages were killed by terrorists linked to al-Qaeda.

He has denied claims that his guests are disrespectful of neighbours and says he has soundproofed the building.

He told The Times that his parties were attended by 'consenting adults', and said: 'You have to have a special licence for sex things if you are selling anything sexual, like DVDs, but this is just a hotel. It's basically Disneyworld for adults.

'What people do in a hotel is up to them. They hire the venue for an evening where they have a dancefloor, a bar, and if they want to go up to the playrooms and have some fun, they can go and do that.

'We went from eight to twelve couples and at our last party we had 75. We've got doctors and a barrister who comes. They are quite well-to-do and we have some nice sports cars parked outside. We're a high-end club.'

If the hotel is found to be in breach of planning regulations, Mr McCloud will have 28 days to appeal or submit a new planning application to run his events.

Posted by Anonymous to Textusa at 12 May 2019, 16:40:00

      *****

      Yes, it’s called reasonable doubt.

Dog alert + human blood in Scenic+ cadaver scent in Scenic + cadaver scent in apartment + blood in apartment + no explanation for cadaver scent in apartment + no explanation for blood in apartment + no explanation for cadaver scent in Scenic + Maddie missing from apartment + Scenic hired 23 days after Maddie disappeared = beyond reasonable doubt that all locations alerted by the dogs (including boot) means the body was definitely in all of them, without exception and that includes the car boot.

No matter how much you try to cast doubt over the dog alerts, it won’t work.

You have not answered the Barron question. Are you Mr Thompson’s Barron?

What was Eddie altering to when he barked at the car door? Grime said the odour was emitting from the seal of the car door.
Why did Wright and Cameron make excuses of food leaks and nappies causing the odour in the car boot?
Why did Cameron need to remove the carpet from the boot and wash it?

Has anybody ever gone shopping and experienced anything like this in their own car. So bad that even after a carpet washing that the boot had to be left open for night after night.
G A said the statement of the lawyer who witnesses this should have been in the PJ files, but wasn’t, for some reason.
I’m with GA on this, all the evidence points to a cadaver being carried in the car boot, contaminating the carpet badly, even after washing and airing. Only a dog with the training of Eddie was able to detect the residual odour.
Ben obviously disagrees with GA and the SCJ. Fair enough. Just came as a surprise to me.

Eddie alerted to human blood as well as the scent of a dead body.
There was no alert from Eddie that wasn't backed up by Keela.
    Keela alerted to blood only.
Blood was found on the key fob.
There is no evidence that a body had been in the boot.
    There is evidence of blood.
You are claiming it's a fact that a body was in the boot, but you cannot back it up.

Martin Grime's words regarding the boot (my caps):

"It is my view that it is possible that the EVRD is alerting to 'cadaver scent'
    contaminant OR human blood scent."

Eddie's alert in 5A (that wasn't corroborated by Keela), is much more conclusive of a dead body being present in 5A.

    1. Silverdoe,

You are the one who says that Mr Amaral is ALWAYS right. Anything he says is gospel and must be taken literally and without doubt or question under the penalty of excommunicated.

We, on the other hand recognise Mr Amaral’s humanity, recognise his limitations – imposed and natural as he in no way could phantom what he was really up against – and the time he was indeed inside the investigation (from May 3 to Oct 2).

Us recognising his humanity and his limitations, you and your friends misconstrue intentionally as us trying to discredit him. Your and your friends’ opinion matter nothing to us.

But that said, something is factual: it is you, who says that Mr Amaral is ALWAYS right who has to explain why he raises the possibility of the coffin theory and at the same time defends that the body was in the Scenic. It is you, not us who has to do that.

To be clear, we think the coffin theory completely absurd. Does that mean it shouldn’t be investigated? Why not? All possible theories should be investigated.

For us, and we are giving a personal opinion, the coffin theory is so absurd that it falls out of the possible (the dog alerts on the Scenic contradict it and the coffin theory is based on somebody having said that they saw people by the church at odd hours in night but these statements are not in the files nor have they ever been identified (probably because they don’t exist or if they do, are fantasists)) and so, if we were in charge of the investigation, we would waste little resources to it or even none.

Again, you, not us, are the one who has to match up the coffin theory to the alerts on the Scenic.

And, needless to say, as “anon” has said, Eddie alerted to the car and not only to the key FOB.

What we censored wasn’t factual, it was your opinion about us and Mr Amaral.

About you being interested in facts… may we remind you about the Hynds?

Gonçalo Amaral – Everything indicated that the body, after having been at a certain location, was moved into another location by car, twenty something days later. With the residues that were found inside the car, the little girl had to have been transported inside it.

    How can you state that?

Due to the type of fluid, we policemen, experts, say that the cadaver was frozen or preserved in the cold and when placed into the car boot, with the heat at that time [of the year], part of the ice melted. On a curb, for example, something fell from the trunk's right side, above the wheel. It may be said that this is speculation, but it's the only way to explain what happened there.

Sorry Textusa but that is incorrect and you know it. You cannot say every alert of Eddie's HAD to have come into contact with a body when he was just as much a blood dog as cadaver. Well you can say it obviously but that is factually incorrect.
Stressing again, it's not what you know, it's what you can prove in court; it's not dissing the dogs, Amaral, or working for pros. It's sticking to facts and evidence that will stand up in court.
If we don't do that, what do we have? Well there's a full history to tell us. Pros 'debunk' the speculation put out as absolute fact, which is easily proven by the files. Joe public takes a look and sees yep, those crazy anti McCann trolls are liars. Then we have a British public supporting the McCanns, and what would that public say about its government agreeing to extradition? Have a guess. THAT'S why it's important to be pedantic.
It's not about cooking up as much hatred for the McCanns as possible - as you yourself know. That is specifically falling into the trap that must suit team McCann just fine.

How can you have a conscience by ridiculing someone, who like you, has posted what they thought may have been a relevant at the time, of where a child might be. Why would you go to all this effort in dragging up a post that had been written eons ago when you have openly admitted to posting "information" that now contradicts yr current views - "quote -" as I'm sure we all have" unquote. That post is a complete waste of time IMO.

  73. From the JP files. Seems pretty obvious to me. Whispering...

15.27 ? the dog ?marked? vehicle n?4 ? Renault Scenic ? number plate ? 59-DA-27, the rental car currently used by Gerry and Kate McCann.

The Renault Scenic vehicle ? number plate 59-DA-27 was removed to the third floor of the underground car park and was subjected to a forensic search by officers from the Scientific Police Laboratory and another sniffer dog inspection that began at 03.49 on 7th August by the dog KEELA, which detected human blood remains, the following results were noted:

    03.53 ? the dog ?marked? a zone on the right inferior side of the inside of the luggage compartment of the vehicle;

04.11 ? the dog 'marked' the compartment on the driver's side, which was seen to contain the vehicle's key, of a plastic electronic card type, with a key ring from the Budget car rental agency.

With the aim of confirming whether the dog had effectively ?marked? the vehicle's key, which was inside the compartment on the driver's side, at 04.13 the key in question was removed from the vehicle and hidden in a place far from the vehicle on the third floor of the underground car park.

At about 04.14 it was observed that the dog ?marked? the area of a box containing sand from the Fire Service, underneath which, effectively, the vehicle's key had been hidden.

At approximately 04.50 a new sniffer dog inspection was carried out using the dog EDDY which detects cadaver odour, using the vehicle key which for this purpose was hidden on the fourth floor of the underground car park, far away from the vehicle.

At about 04.51, it was observed that the dog ?marked? the area of the box containing sand from the Fire Service, underneath which the key had been hidden.

    Signed.

You both look very silly here, nothing new of course.

  74. From Martin Grime.

    http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/MARTIN_GRIMES_RIGATORY.htm

'The dog EVRD is trained using whole and disintegrated material, blood, bone tissue, teeth, etc. and decomposed cross-contaminants. The dog will recognize all or parts of a human cadaver. He is not trained for 'live' human odours; no trained dog will recognize the smell of 'fresh blood'. They find, however, and give the alert for dried blood from a live human being.'

This is all VERY basic stuff. How can you not know this?

    ReplyDelete
  75. To all those now saying that Eddie was a blood dog as much as he was an EVRD dog, did Keela signal the key FOB? If not, why not?

And the Scenic door? If not, why not?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This is back to what the pros have always said: Eddie was also trained on blood, so he was only alerting to blood. Which could have been from anyone.
If Eddie alerted to blood as well as cadaver, what was the point of using him at all? Why not just use Keela?
Eddie’s excitement outside 5a, as noted by Grime, was he just alerting to blood? Which is then stated by the pros as not being blood, because there was no evidence of blood in 5a!
Is the new position of the so-called antis to say GA was totally wrong to assume M had died in 5a or that she was ever in the car boot?
Or is Eddie only correct about 5a but not about the car boot? A selective interpretation now being applied.
What happened to that pinned tweet about “She’s got a body in the boot, or just bags full of food” - now deleted?
      Almost overnight, the script changed!

    2. What is this coming to? Are we going to have people arguing Sandy Cameron's testimony next?

So, Maddie grazed her knee, her shorts were left on sofa + fell behind it briefly, then were put in the cupboard. Is that the kind of thing we'll have next? And once the idea the dog alerts are all irrelevant, what then? Interesting tactic.

  76. Interesting sudden change of tactics from the gang on the dogs.

We are back to Sept 8 2007. The tactic of pinning all on the McCanns and them alone has failed (obviously, we have been alerting that this is impossible for year).

Next, will be to prove what Netflix tried: sorry folks, nothing for you to see here, do move along now.

    ReplyDelete
  77. What the gang is saying means in a hypothetical murder, where the victim was stabbed to death and the crime scene is cleaned, Grime’s dogs would both alert at the scene because both blood and cadaver odour would be present, as it would be in the majority of murder scenes; meaning Grime could never be sure if a death had occurred.
That would make using a cadaver dog pointless and makes no sense.

Using their logic, they are saying that the alert behind the sofa by both dogs does NOT mean M died there, as it could be just an alert to blood.
The places and objects only Eddie alerted to were the closet in the bedroom and patio and cuddle cat and clothing from the second apartment.
    So what is their theory?

Does McFadden support her fans going rogue on the dogs?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Correct me if I'm wrong, Ben's 'logic' suggests that because both dogs could detect blood - one dog detected 'dead' blood and the other 'live' blood from a live human being, (let's leave out cadaver for the moment) that the blood alerts from 5a 'could' have been from an alive human being only?

      Whispering

  78. Let’s put this dog matter to rest once and for all.

First our apologies for getting something wrong. In fact the locations or objects that Keela did not signal to were the bedroom, the flowerbed, cuddle cat and clothing. Not the key FOB and Scenic door as we implied by our question. It teaches us not to shoot from the hip. For that our apologies.

The gang (very clearly showing themselves to be very much so) has now decided to tackle the dog evidence, to discredit it, to cast doubt about its reliability.

What they are doing now – very recently and so suddenly – is what pros have done for years. The novelty? The ground they have prepared. The hard work they have put in for years to gain an “anti” status.

Now, when they diss the dogs, they diss them, although using the same arguments pros have for years, but now from an “anti”-stance.

The gang has spent years convincing people (have they?) that they are antis, so now that the time has come for them to diss decisively all forensics – which include the dog alerts – it all has, or is supposed to have, a total different weight, or so they hope.

And here, we have to recognise the second mistake we made recently. That happened when we said the pros were not picking up on what Mr Thompson was saying because he was toxic. Yes, he’s absolutely toxic but it’s not because of that the pros are silent. They are silent because they are doing a Netflix.

Remember how much against Netflix the McCanns were? Vilifying publicly a documentary that was clearly biased in their favour?

They were against it because if the McCann had supported it, it would have taken away the “innocenting” of the McCanns that the multi-million project intended.

Now, in much the same way, the pros are not supporting what the gang is saying because if they do, it will take away the weight of the dissing of the dogs done by the so-called antis.

About Eddie. To those readers paying attention, one can see that the gang are doing a Frog.

What is doing a Frog? Remember when the Frog tried to convince us all that a deal to be offered to Kate had been arranged between Pinto de Abreu and the PJ? When she made Pinto de Abreu and Gonçalo Amaral look like 2 amateurs in their jobs?

Now the gang makes it look like both Martin Grime and Gonçalo Amaral are absolute amateurs when it comes to the dogs. And so is the Portuguese justice system.

Going back to what we said about Mr Amaral, there are 2 timeframes before and after he was taken off the investigation. The dogs were under his watch. He would have been responsible to query all about them, all the meaning of their alerts, so we imagine that when he says he believes that Maddie’ body was transported in that vehicle, he’s not saying that lightly.

Now to Grime, if Eddie mistakes so easily the cadaver scent for blood, then why train Eddie, why not just use Keela?

Then if Eddie did detect blood instead of cadaver scent, then why didn’t Eddie pinpoint the sources of the scent and only signalled areas?

We have already explained why we think that EVRD signals areas instead of points is because the cadaver scent is much more intense than the one from blood and that means the radius from the emitting source to the level of concentration of airborne molecules is bigger for cadaver scent than it is for blood.

If Eddie only signalled blood in every single of his alerts in the Scenic, then were the McCanns spreading the insides of the car with human blood?

So, what are the chances of the Eddie signaling only blood in the Scenic? We would say it would be ridiculous to even think it.

Martin Grime defends himself, because he knows he’s before a very high-profile case. The dog is primarily trained to detected cadaver scent, but he has to safeguard the possibility of the alerts being blood.

    (Cont)

  79. (Cont)

Here, is where the human factor enters. On analyzing the locations of the various alerts by the EVRD dog, it’s beyond reasonable doubt that Eddie alerted to cadaver and not blood.

Who agrees with this? The Portuguese justice system.

    To Martin Grime’s:
“It is my view that it is possible that the EVRD is alerting to 'cadaver scent'
contaminant or human blood scent. No evidential or intelligence reliability can
be made from this alert unless it can be confirmed with corroborating
    evidence.
    https://twitter.com/search?l=&q=from%3Athebunnyreturnz&src=typd

The Portuguese justice system has replied with this:

    https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CWZ1fz0MihI/VxYyZMV3gpI/AAAAAAAAC_Q/EjoFWjpHqmMepRXCvwwUlVskH2X6Y9BbQCKgB/s1600/TRL_Page_05.jpg

    In English:

    2. On 1st instance, it was given as proved the following factual matter:
    (…)
    6. The dogs of the British police “Eddie” and “Keela” detected marks of odour of human blood and of cadaver in the apartment 5-A of the Ocean Club (al AR).
    7. The dogs of the British police “Eddie” and “Keela” detected marks of odour of human blood and of cadaver in the automotive vehicle reanted by the AA. Kate MacCann and Gerald MacCann after the disappearance of Madeleine (al. AR).

It's the Portuguese justice system, that has considered PROVEN that cadaver was detected in the Scenic. A PROVEN fact that has gone uncontested all the way up to the Portuguese Supreme Justice Court.

Mr Thompson wants to play with semantics, he can go ahead. He can take it up with the Portuguese justice system. Oh, he can’t? Then he has to do like the McCanns, and take it up to the ECHR.

Now, Mr Thompson only has to say if he doesn’t believe and continue not to believe a cadaver was in the Scenic.

He may say that he agrees with the sovereign and legitimate Portuguese Justice system and that believes that a cadaver was in the Scenic but he doesn’t believe that it was Maddie. Then all he has to tell us, is to tell us what cadaver was PROVEN to have been there.

The train to diss the dogs has long departed. But it is useful to see the true colours of some. We are only curious about what some who have remained silent have to say about this latest gang tactic.

[Picture attached is this snippet from day 12 of the Lisbon trial on July 08, 2014:

GMC says that he wants to make a comment about the dogs; he wants to make it clear that it is not a fact that they detected blood...
The judge interrupts him – The issue here isn't not to elucidate what actually happened. The perspective, in this trial, is to determine whether the book and the documentary affected the plaintiffs.
GMC – But the book mentions facts that aren't true.
The judge – The point isn't to establish whether things are true or not, this is not the issue. We want to know whether we are in the juridical remit of offence to persons. For this it's not necessary to know what the truth is. As a judge I'm not supposed to stand in for a criminal investigation.
    And so it ended

    2. Nobody spoke of contesting rulings but of contesting PROVEN facts when the window of opportunity to do that existed.

When that window existed, they didn't contest.

The file you linked up, was the complaint against the Portuguese Supreme Justice Court against the fact that this court did not consider the McCanns cleared under the principle of innocent until proven guilty.

The Court having already cleared that up in its Acórdão in favour of Gonçalo Amaral, in reply to that complaint, reinforced the fact that they were not cleared.

Also, when they received an unfavourable decision by the Appeal Court, in their appeal to the Supreme Justice Court they again did not contest any proven fact.

Note, the proven fact does not say that it is Madeleine's cadaver. It just says that a cadaver was in the Scenic.

If it wasn't Maddie, like with the cadaver scent in apartment 5A, someone has to explain who it was.
